Astrology is weird bc the Cap sun chart on paper seems really interesting and complex to me, but in reality it’s the chart of my boring, stagnant, townie father, whereas the Gemini sun chart is mine and seems so boring but…

…I’ve lived in various places to expand my worldview, have solo traveled a bit, farmed, worked as a writing tutor, am very artistically motivated, read books and consume media to understand others’ experiences, and generally feel like I’m meant for something big and exciting and creatively transformative in life (even if it’s taking me a long time to get there…). Not trying to boast or anything, just trying to show that my 35 years have been, to me, far more interesting than my dad’s 65 and yet my chart is so boring compared to his? or like i try to say yes to life and he’s happy to sorta say no to things and stay small?

I’ve also always thought that inner planet/outer planet aspects made someone more interesting, and have always been envious of those in peoples’ charts, but yeah…maybe astrology is fake 😅 idk

Would somewhere around the Fells be a good place to try to catch the meteor shower tonight?

don’t have any experience stargazing or whatnot so figured i’d ask! suggestions welcome, thanks!

What do you think of synastry where there’s a lot going on but no interactions happening within that first 3x3 square of personal planets?

I don’t know this persons exact birth time but I do know their rising, so this is pretty close to accurate, but anyways just thinking about some connections I’ve had in my life…

Friendship synastry: Is there something here that would indicate my feeling far more drawn to my friend than she is to me/wanting her care and attention more than I’d like to admit (sorta hate myself for it)?

I am the gemini, she is the aries. We’ve been roommates/friends for the past six years and I’ve always felt like I want to give her more of my time and energy than she gives me…like I suspect that I mentally and emotionally prioritize her far more than she prioritizes me and I’m starting to hate myself for it. Is this indicated in our synastry? I also included our separate birth charts…

Was this friendship not meant to last?

We’ve been friends and lived together for almost 6 years, but things are so rocky and weird now (due in part to my own mental health stuff the past couple years, I’ll admit). Our friendship is definitely on its way out and it makes me (Gemini sun) very sad because I thought I’d found a lifelong friend but, alas, people come and go…and this one is going 😢 am i feeling it more than she is?

u/Staghorn_sumac — 22 days ago

Synastry for a friendship that is dying, I think I (Gemini sun) am having a harder time with it

We’ve lived together for 5+ years, just the two of us, but because of my own unhealed bullshit things are so rough now and I’m just so fucking sad about it but I know people come and go in life. I think I’m probably more upset about it but idk…do you think I’m feeling it more?

35F, Put down payment on MARPE today, feeling nervous about looking worse but excited about better function

Has anyone here gotten MARPE and looked worse afterward? I’m supposed to expand 8mm

I’m fully unattractive and MARPE could honestly make it worse since I have close set tiny round eyes with no forward cheekbone growth and a forehead that isn’t prominent at all…but today I said “fuck it,” I’m tired of my face and mouth feeling wrong, of forcing my tongue to not tongue thrust, I’m tired of feeling like my face is caving in and of working hard to not mumble and of sleeping poorly

Like I’m gonna look unsettling as fuck either way, might as well breathe better while looking ugly and crazy, ya know?

35F, feeling like things are just never going to work out in life [astro-seek.com]

still trying to get a bachelors (only interests are the arts, of course, so sorta fucked there)

don’t have the self-esteem to trying dating and feel like i need to give up on the idea of love since I want someone extraordinary but I myself am unattractive and poor (yes, i am truly unattractive—people
have been insulting my appearance from youth into adulthood and it’s very hurtful, i come from a very unsettling looking family)

wondering what the frackin point is and if I’ll ever have an effing breakthrough in life…

u/Staghorn_sumac — 29 days ago

a new connection that feels a little too good to be true…

haven’t known them long but feel wildly attracted to and comfortable around this person…what do we
think?

No disrespect to religious folks here but taking your kids to church every Sunday doesn’t mean they will choose to be religious as adults & LJ’s perspective here really irks me

My two younger brothers and i all grew up going to church every sunday, CCD, parochial/catholic schools, communion, confirmation, all of it…we’re all adults now and none of us are religious. and personally, at no point as a young person did religion ever resonate with me. i was never ever into it.

you can’t force your kids to be religious/christian and hopefully she understands that when one of them inevitably decides for themselves one day.

sorry, i just have a bone to pick with this stuff

Has anyone gotten 8mm expansion? If so, would love to hear about it!

Had my airway orthodontist appt a couple days ago and they said I needed 8mm of expansion!

I can barely afford it but I have a feeling that it would be totally worth it and improve my quality of life in ways I don’t even realize.

If anyone has gotten 8mm expansion, how did you change functionally and aesthetically?

Women who’ve been bullied, called ugly, cheated on, and only treated as an option and not a priority, how do you continue to have the confidence to try and date?

How do you manage to have an unending well of confidence, how do you continue to trust people?

what are some positive changes that you didn’t even expect from MARPE?

things like speaking, eating, posture, singing, brain fog/concentration, etc…

realized recently that I’ve (34F) had a tongue thrust my whole life (resting position and swallow) and that a bunch of things that I thought were odd/unfortunate traits that I just had to accept are actually bc of my poor oral functioning. wild.

curious to hear anyone’s experience here! I have an appt with an airway ortho this summer and am hoping I’ll be a candidate for this

34F, I wonder what it’s like to be chosen and genuinely cared for

To have someone of substance look at you and think “yes I want to get to know this person” and then as they get to know you think “oh yes I want to live in reciprocity with them and exchange resources and caring touches and soft words”

I wonder what that’s like…

I’m realizing now that any sort of emotional entanglement I experienced in my early to mid twenties (just two people) was not my embarking on an adult journey of relationships, it was just my being used as an experiment for others as they figured out what they really wanted

When you are ugly and depressed you don’t get the luxury of choosing what you feel you deserve—someone growth-oriented, creative, passionate, refined, cultured, a lover of beauty and a student of life…

You get compliments from bosses about what a hard worker you are. You get emails from professors applauding the work you put into assignments, you get to have your art hung in some places around town…small victories that affirm any creative intelligence or diligence

But that is where the attention stops. Because ultimately who wants to come home to a broken mind packaged into an ugly head and a sensitive heart stuffed into an unappealing body. There are millions of physically beautiful creatives, why settle for one so homely and so sad. I am to be appreciated from a distance, but not up close.

And so I will never know what it’s like to be chosen and genuinely cared for.
