I have scanned my car with a obd2 scanner and it dosent throw any errors, but when I tested my battery with the dr.prius app its saying my battery only has 9.41% battery life left. How concered should I be? 2014 prius c 4 door with 65k miles

My currant car is worth about ~$5000. My currant commute to work is 60 miles round trip 5 days a week and my car only gets 17mpg so I'm spending about $400 a month just on gas for my car. I'm gonna be stuck with my currant commute for at least the next year. Should I just keep in it simple and sell my car for ~$5000 and buy the most fuel efficient car I can get for $5000 or should I take that $5000 and use that money as a down payment for a newer car that will get me better fuel efficiency than whatever I can afford for $5000?
