A little nervous about getting a third cat
I have two female cats. I got the first (cat A) as an 8 week old kitten (found) and when she was about 5 months old we adopted an 8 month old cat (cat B) from a rescue and did a slow intro. They don’t hate each other but are not bonded in any way. They’re amazing with food, fine with sharing that, and they basically keep to themselves. They never fight and *sometimes* play by chasing each other around. Cat B takes the upstairs and cat A takes down. They share litter boxes. Cat A is a bit more sassy and playful while cat B is sleepy and independent.
They’re both about 2 years old now.
Last week I went to an adoption event with a family member and fell in love with a small white kitten. Another girl. I submitted the application and heard back and we can get her on Monday.
I’m super excited and I love kittens and cats but I am nervous to go from 2-3. My house is 1500 square feet and I have a basement where all the litter boxes are. With this kitten we will have four, so there’s plenty of space there. I’ll do a slow introduction like the last time.
I’m just worried about them hating this new kitten. What I hope will happen is that cat A, my playful one, will play and love on this new kitten while cat B who is more independent and sleepy will be fine to relax on her own. I just want them all to get along.
Thoughts? Advice?
Made a plate on the wheel!
I had fun here. It didn’t turn out exactly the way I thought it would but I’ll try this method again in the future.
I used underglaze transfers for the flowers, underglaze overtop of them and then covered them in clear glaze. I covered the clear glaze in wax and dipped the whole thing. It is one of my favorite little things I’ve made!

Someone in r/askgermany recommended this sub.
My friend has been living and working in Germany for 6 years. They extended their residency and now need to travel outside of the country but is having immense trouble getting the Fiktionsbescheinigung.
They had the appointment for months and went and were turned away and said to reapply. They were shocked by this and told to come back in a week. A week later the arrive for appointment and they are never called. They ask for help and are dismissed.
My friend needs to leave the country to travel and cannot obtain the Fiktionsbescheinigung. Other than hiring a lawyer is there any advice? It’s not negligence, they’ve tried to contact this office for months and are constantly refreshing for new appointments and calling. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Hello everyone!
I have a friend in Germany that is really trying to get their fiktionsbescheinigung. They had their appointment (months in advance) and then got turned away at the office saying they have to completely re-apply, and the office gave them an appointment for the following week. They go, and they don’t even call their number for the appointment. They ask about it, and they’re turned away again.
My friend has been working in Germany for over six years and is so stressed about this process and getting an appointment. They need to leave the country urgently but are genuinely scared it will affect their permanent residency options and all they’ve built in Germany. Is there something they’re missing? Is there anything that can be done? They keep refreshing the appointment page and nothing is happening/no one answers the phone.
Any guidance would be helpful. Their status is pending and they need the fiktionsbescheinigung to leave the country and then return.
Thank you in advance.
Hello! I just set planted these and watered them and then put a little mulch on top to keep the soil cool, I’m in PA but my porch gets a lot of natural light (direct sun)
These are wittem and creamy and this is a 16 inch wide pot with drainage. Is this okay? Or should I take one out? I have other planters but they are much smaller and I don’t plan on putting these in the ground because I have about 9 deer in my yard daily (they won’t come up on my porch…yet). Please advise?
