This is the fourth time out of five this has happened! How the hell can I avoid this bug?

I'm starting to get nervous. This frigate was also probably a good tier, but out of five help events against the pirates, only in oneI was able to land. It's shameful!

How do I find a system with medium-high economy, low/medium hostility AND a paradise/habitable planet?

I'm trying to set up a "forever base" and I've got a pretty specific list of requirements for the system:

  • Economy: medium-high (Medium is fine too, but I won't complain if I find better)
  • Hostility/Conflict: low or medium, no war-torn systems
  • Planet: paradise/habitable, lush biome and calm weather (no constant storms)

I know that with the Economy Scanner and Conflict Scanner I can read this info straight from the galactic map, and that yellow stars with a temperature of 4-6 and the "Water" tag give the best odds for a paradise planet. Problem is, after jumping into like ten systems that looked promising on paper, either the economy was low, or there was no decent planet.

A few questions for people with more experience:

  1. Is there a way to see both filters (economy + conflict) at once on the map, or do I have to check them one at a time?
  2. Are the odds of finding a paradise planet lower in a high-economy system compared to a "poor" one? I've seen conflicting opinions on this.
  3. Does anyone have a seed/system already on hand that roughly fits these criteria? Even in another galaxy is fine, I've got enough warp cells to make the jump.

Thanks in advance, I'm losing my mind jumping from system to system lol.

My firts 20 hours in NMS. It is still a blast!

It's incredible how, even after 20 hours (and on the starting planet, no less), I keep finding new things! I randomly became the administrator of a settlement that is in debt up to its neck. I've found a ton of new structures and I can't stop exploring with my ship flying at low speed, about a hundred meters off the ground!

I might have picked up about 20 side quests, but I'll take my time and do them all.

Aside from this, though, I wanted to ask for some info, because there are still some things I haven't figured out.

The first is about the ancient ruins: you find 3 keys and then a chest that needs the 3 keys to be opened. I've found 4 or 5 so far and I've always sold them. That is, until I found the huge station on the planet (I think it's called an archive, I don't remember) and there I found some vaults where you can leave historical artifacts. I thought they were the items you find inside the chests in the ruins, but that's not it. So I don't understand where to find these artifacts. Also, I haven't quite understood what the archive actually does. Does it just give you game lore?

Another thing is the modifications/upgrades I find for the exosuit and multitool. I understand the ranking from C to S, but I've found others like the ones in the photo. I just don't know whether to risk installing them (I don't have much space in my exosuit right now, but I'm working on expanding the slots) or if I'm better off just selling them outright. I've only figured out that the purple ones are from Sentinels, I still don't understand what the other colors refer to.

If you can help answer these questions and give any other advice, you're more than welcome!

Additionally, is there a way to find ships/structures without having to buy maps or find the computer with the riddle in the planetary stations? Thanks for reading.

Returning after a year off – looking for some Warlock PvE build advice (sorry, it's a long one)

Hey everyone! After about a year away from the game I'm back, like a lot of others. I wanted to get some advice on a few possible PvE builds — I haven't kept up with buffs/nerfs at all, just caught bits and pieces here and there, so I figured I'd ask around.
These builds are for Warlock, mostly just for fun in harder activities, plus the occasional raid or dungeon. Nothing too sweaty like trio or solo clears.

Solar - I've got two builds in mind. One around Dawn Chorus, which I heard got a buff — this one's more offensive, just for some fun explosions. For raids and dungeons though, I could use some advice on which exotic works best for supporting the team. Speaker's Sight is still the go-to piece? Also a question I've never quite settled: Well of Radiance or Song of Flame for support?

Strand - Honestly, from what I've seen it got a ton of buffs and even a new exotic, but I have no idea where to start. If anyone can fill me in on what's changed for Warlock Strand and its exotics, I'd really appreciate it.

Stasis - For this one I'm just going with the chest piece that gives you the "Stasis buddy" and powers up the turret (Rime-Coat Raiment).

Arc - Not sure if this got touched, but I remember it being really strong back in the season with the Echo of Oryx. For fun I'd run Fallen Sunstar, and for harder content or boss damage, Geomag Stabilizers.

Void - This is probably where I'll experiment the most — I already have a ton of ideas I want to dig into on my own.

Prismatic - Not sure if anything besides the turret build got changed here, but if you've got any fun builds, I'll happily steal them.

Also; are there any go-to 2-piece set bonus armor sets that are really strong in PvE? I'd love to try building around those too.
Last thing: I still don't fully get what the Weapons and Health stats actually do now — is it worth running them high or low these days?

Thanks again, and sorry for the essay!

My first 6 hours as a new player were a blast! But I have some questions.

Hello everyone! I'm a new player and wanted to share my first six hours so far and ask a few questions. I'd like to avoid spoilers.

Aside from getting one of Dune's worms (it was more like a gigant earth fish), which made me reconsider the idea that it was a chill game, and getting a kind of Death Star in the face (I entered in and went offline; I'll explore it tomorrow), the rest of the journey has been really fun!

  1. How do I get new ships? My main problem right now is the lack of inventory, and I thought having a better ship than the one you spawn with would still be a good upgrade. Here's the problem: I've already found three distress beacons that led me to crashed ships that need repairing. The problem is that repairing them requires materials that I haven't found yet, but from what I've read, it should have saved them anyway. Where can I go to build them? Or should I repair them when I find them broken?

  2. Back to the inventory issue... I built a base (if four walls and a door can be considered such). Isn't there a box where I can store materials and items? I don't think I've found one yet or seen one in the construction tools.

  3. I'm on my second galaxy. Should I build a base in every galaxy I visit? Or is it a waste of resources and energy?

  4. Every time I arrive on a new planet, I use the beacon (I don't remember if it's that one) to find a structure on the planet, but I seem to have figured out that I can only use it once. How do I discover other places of interest? (I found a stragate, a sort of empty round structure, and a red tower where I disabled some sentries... but I don't understand what they're for with all three. I'll find out.)

I think I asked all what I needed to ask. See you starside!

Just Got the 2 Pro, Is the firmware/software downgrade rumor for better audio quality true?

Hey everyone, just managed to snag a brand new, sealed pair of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for 60€. I've already opened them and verified that they are 100% authentic. However, I read somewhere that to get the absolute best audio quality, I shouldn't update them, or I might even need to downgrade them to a specific firmware version. Is this actually true? And if so, could someone explain how to do it?
