Memorial for my father, who passed away this morning.

Today I woke up to news from my mom that my father had second heart attack, was rushed to the hospital and didn't survive. Our realtionships weren't exactly warm, but I am so devastated that I still don't know how to process it. I tried to think rationally but couldn't, so I launched NMS with no intentions.

No Man's Sky was never "sink all my free time into it" game, but definitely "launch from time to time and zone out for 5 hours" game. I played a bit at release, started playing it again around expedition 14th, and got lost in it for the whole two years. I've invested my time heavily in corvettes, and because of them started to learn how to decorate environments and build decent bases. Today I had no intentions on building anything, just wanted to fill that void inside doing something, but ended up trying to commemorate him in some way.

I still have very poor skills in building, so I knew that this won't be big fancy ziggurat. And I was born in the Hero City in the south of Russia, which has a bunch of obelisks built to honor the WWII defenders of this city. So I decided to build simple obelisk. Usually such obelisks have an Eternal flame at the base, but sadly I don't have fire barrel thingy to imitate it so I just put a fireplace at the base of it.

I still didn't process it fully, but building this definitely helped me to get some peace of mind. If you want, you can visit it - coordinates are at the last picture. It is built near my main base Autumn Resort, I hope that weird synchronization of NMS will show it to you - there are a big farm of every type of plants, I think you'll be able to access it.

Looking for Hexagonal Worlds

Dominant Lifeform: Preferably Korvax (any populated system works).

Galaxy: Euclid.

Dissonant: Dissonant system preferred (planet itself does not need to be dissonant).

Moons: Preferably 1–2 moons.

Planet Colors: Blue, purple, or greyish.

Naming Status: Non-uploaded preferred (planning to name it Cybertron. Preexisting Cybertrons work too.)

Other Details: Giant size and/or floating islands are a huge plus, if anyone's found one with them!

Expedition 22 Prismatic Core Completed

Good Day Travellers,

It would seem that the expedition 22 Prismatic Core part has reached 100%. For some this will mark the moment with a sense of freedom. How does it Mark for you?

How do I find a system with medium-high economy, low/medium hostility AND a paradise/habitable planet?

I'm trying to set up a "forever base" and I've got a pretty specific list of requirements for the system:

  • Economy: medium-high (Medium is fine too, but I won't complain if I find better)
  • Hostility/Conflict: low or medium, no war-torn systems
  • Planet: paradise/habitable, lush biome and calm weather (no constant storms)

I know that with the Economy Scanner and Conflict Scanner I can read this info straight from the galactic map, and that yellow stars with a temperature of 4-6 and the "Water" tag give the best odds for a paradise planet. Problem is, after jumping into like ten systems that looked promising on paper, either the economy was low, or there was no decent planet.

A few questions for people with more experience:

  1. Is there a way to see both filters (economy + conflict) at once on the map, or do I have to check them one at a time?
  2. Are the odds of finding a paradise planet lower in a high-economy system compared to a "poor" one? I've seen conflicting opinions on this.
  3. Does anyone have a seed/system already on hand that roughly fits these criteria? Even in another galaxy is fine, I've got enough warp cells to make the jump.

Thanks in advance, I'm losing my mind jumping from system to system lol.

Power up help

I have a question, which food is the one that provides jetpack boost? I had read online it was perpetual cake but after making it it says it provides 50% Hazard protection

How to get rid of...

How do you get rid of the undo pop up? It is literally coving my food tokens so when I try and sacrifice them while returning my Cauldron Familiar it either cancels the attempt or I have to try and highlight a small corner just right. Thanks all
