Random question from the jc

So I did my junior cert back in 2023 (did the lc this year) as was wondering if anyone has a link to the 2023 engineering marble machine project from it marking out paper

I cant seem to find it anywhere as I want to perfectly 3D print it out as mine wasn’t perfect when I made it 3 years ago and my marking out paper might have been thrown out

What car should I get as a first?

I’m thinking about getting my own car in 2 years or something when I start work experience in college

Should I get the Toyota Avensis or the Volvo V70?

I don’t mind if it’s manual or automatic.

How can I wire this together?

How can I wire with dpdt switch with a 3v battery, a dc motor and a vibration motor from an iPhone 6

I know the battery goes to the middle 2 pins and you wire the top left with bottom right and top right with bottom left, what do I do after?

Genuine question

So I’m planning to do my 4th driving test in an automatic as I’ve failed 3 times in a manual ( didn’t get a clutch or gear fault ) as I’m using my instructors car for the manual test and don’t want to be paying for renting his car.

How do I move off in an automatic?

Is it when I stop on the side, put the car on park and then the handbrake or put it in neutral and then handbrake?

Any instructors please advise on what to do.

Should I switch?

So I’ve applied for my 4th driving test 9 days ago after I failed my 3rd driving test 9 days ago.

I’m doing my test in my instructors car which is a manual and it’s a focus and that’s the only manual I can do my test in due to insurance issues with my mothers manual

My dad is saying to do the test in his automatic xc60 for now when I get a date or find a cancellation and do my manual test another time

Is it worth doing it in an automatic and doing manual later on or just do the test in a manual as I wanted my license for the summer but sadly I won’t and I want my license before college starts.

Also I’m use to driving high up cars compared to hatchbacks

Didn’t get any faults for gears or clutch within the 3 failed tests

Any recommendations Would be appreciated

Waiting times

Stupid argument but

Why can’t they quicken up the waiting times?

I assume the waiting times backlog was due to Covid but it was 6 years ago and had since 2021/22 to start clearing the backlog out

I genuinely wonder what’s taking so long to get rid of the backlog.

How can I fix this?

Had my third driving test today (third pic) but failed.

The other 2 were my other failures, first on 7th feb and 2nd on 14th April, first and second pic, all were in Naas.

I’m genuinely annoyed with myself and I want my license for the summer but I won’t now due to the waiting times everywhere and 2 week cooldown + the lads trips as I just finished the lc 2 weeks ago and I’ll be going on 2 lads trips.

If there is any ADIs here, please advise what I could do to improve here.

I did good in the pre-tests before the actual test but ughhhhh.

Got a bad tester though as I used my instructors car and he saw who my tester was and said he wasn’t good.

The IPhone 11 has had more major software updates than the 6s

The 6s had 7 major updates, iOS 9 to 15 which was the longest ever but now the 11 has the longest major updates ever received, iOS 13 to 27, 8 major updates

The side of a 4s is magnetic

Was messing around with my 4s and a Apple Pencil and found out the Apple Pencil can stick to the side of the 4s

How rare is iOS 9.2.1?

I’m after getting a 4s running iOS 9.2.1.

Is iOS 9.2.1 rare in any way before I downgrade it to iOS 6.1.3?

Thanks
