To everyone who upvoted and commented on my post yesterday on the main sub, your help is very much appreciated, despite all the downvotes it had like 120 comments and ended up having a more positive reaction then i expected at the end of the day.

Truth is Sai isn't bad at all rn everyone, we just need some QoL stuff and certain heroes to get nerfed.

I will continue to advocate and voice mine and our frustrations about her every time we need to do so, hopefully though this stops being something that happens once every couple of seasons, if any of you wants to join me in my efforts i will always encourage it and also help out, NetEase has multiple ways to reach them, you can use the discord suggestions tab, you can voice concerns in social media and they even have an E-mail, although the results with that can be underwhelming, but hey, worth a try right?

I don’t think Psylocke is weak i just think Starlord is just too efficient right now.

Since Season 6.5, he got his ult cost cut from 3,400 to 3,100. In Season 8, he also got 10 extra ammo to deal with Devil Dinosaur, but Dinosaur has already been nerfed and Starlord never got adjusted back. The falloff nerf barely changed anything.

As a Psylocke/Starlord player, I feel forced onto Starlord way too often and i would like for both to be balanced and that i could freely choose to pick them by determined situations, not always be forced on one or the other.

He has a more consistent primary fire, more damage, a better ultimate, and a cheaper one too. Psylocke is balanced, but her risk-to-reward just doesn’t compete when Starlord gets more value for less effort and now due to this he’s banned more often, so sometimes when i need him he isn't even around and it wasn't like this in earlier seasons, i always had him in my backpocket and it was very convenient.

Please revert the extra ammo and put his ult cost back to 3,400. Psylocke should be able to shine without being overshadowed by the better all around pick.

I am not even taking into account how broken the supports are rn, especially Luna, because that is a topic for another time.

Now wait out a second, dont come at me with pitchforks and knives, let me explain.

I got GM1 last weekend, i am 28yrs old with a job and day to day responsibilities etc, i can only play consistently on weekends, so throughout the week i was going for my Celestial rank and almost got there, i was 2 games off. Then the mandatory losing streak came in.

I'm going to be honest, Sai does tickle damage rn, if you disagree youre either playing her in lower elos or your way too good, better than me, i consider myself a very competent Psylocke player, i have around 120hrs on the character if i take into account my 2 accounts, 40 on one and 80 on the other.

I know matchups, i know counters, etc, but once you get to GM1/low C3 on PC specifically, which is where i gather my experience, this character feels unplayable most games and im forced to swap, i played like 18 games this weekened, almost deranked to GM3 playing her and had to swap almost every game, of course the matchmaking is terrible and there are other factors but the truth is you tickle backlines, if your team needs more frontline pressure she usually cant have it, and other picks just completely outshine her.

If you're not a God on this hero she is WAY too much work for not much reward, i can legit just turn my brain OFF on other characters i play like Starlord, Emma, Bucky, Elsa and get infinitely more value than Sai where everything i do has to be perfect.

And the sad part of it is that she isn't even bad, she's on her most balanced stated EVER, not broken, not opressive, requires skill to play and is very rewarding, but still, she gets outshined because healing in this game is insane and some dps just completely make her job way too hard.

Cyclops is a demon, Starlord is an overbuffed demon who used to be on the same level as Sai and now is completely insane, Phoenix is still busted, Punisher can just mindlessly shoot down main and shotgun dive tanks forcing disengages, farms ult really fast, has a one shot, Elsa is completely broken on her primary fire, has an auto tracking cooldown to finish off enemies, a broken ult, even Hela seems to be a better pick rn, especially with Namor.

Again, i'm not saying Psylocke is bad, i'm saying she is getting slowly powercrept because other characters get buffs and she doesn't, explain to me why Wolv, Puni, Elsa, Phoenix and Starlord all got buffs in the latest patches without needing them and Sai wasn't even touched?

This is so frustrating, after a huge rollercoaster i managed to climb back to where i was when i deranked to GM2 yesterday, one game off GM1, i will still try to make this character work, as she got me to GM1 with an 80% wr, now i'm at 66% and my stats just keep falling down.

If the right characters don't get nerfs next season and she gets no buffs whatsoever, we're in for a rough patch, prepare yourselves.

I say this as probably one of the most dedicated Psylocke players around the internet, i am confident enough to say that i am, and it hurts me so much swapping off my girl, we got rid of the Dino this patch and still he can be a nuiscance, Daredevil as well can just mark you, he's still S tier and almost 60% wr btw.

I hope the powercreep is exponentially toned down next patch, or we're screwed.

After reaching Grandmaster 1 and also playing against low Celestial players on PC i have realized how difficult she is to play, i was stuck in GM3/GM2 limbo for a while and i was absolutely putting in work in those ranks, but Celestial players are a whole different beast.

I do believe this is fair, and i DO NOT CARE if people hate me for it, i suggest we all do the same, because i don't think they're ever going to nerf supports and new op heroes will keep getting added.

Some of you will definetly not agree with this and thats ok, for those who do, please do the same or go show some love to my post on their suggestions tab in the Marvel Rivals discord.

I have also sent an E-mail to NetEase specifically for this reason.

Will this result in anything? Probably not, but i'm still doing it, i put my name on the crosshair here, if people start hating on her you can all put the blame on me and i will deal with the bad comments and stuff like that, i genuienly don't care, i just don't want my girl powercrept into oblivion again.

Still GM1 though im hoping to get Celestial at least until the season ends.

It's really tough playing her in these lobbies, but we do what we can!

**FOR CONTEXT**

Tap is the #1 Psylocke player in the world and has been ever since the game's release, trust me when i tell you all he has extensive knowledge on the character, the game and probably has over 1000hrs on her exclusively throughout the game's lifespan and all his accounts, he has been rank 1 in the ladder multiple times alongside being rank 1,2,4,6 and 8 back in S3.5 playing Psylocke only.

He is also a former pro for Overwatch and Rivals and i recommend ALL of you that want to improve with the character to watch his streams and his Unranked to Celestial on Sai like i did and still do, i also intend to get coaching from him in the future.

I was watching his stream today and he playing Psylocke only to test her out in this season's meta and the fact of the matter is that what he said is correct, she is good still, but the meta does not favour us, poke is too strong again and supports might be as broken as they were in S5 and 5.5.

On that train of thought, i believe she is at least A tier up till high Celestial, i am almost GM1 right now, i played her exclusively in S8 and i had a 70% win rate with about 50 matches played, i have a 78% win rate now with about 10 played in 8.5.

She is fine, but characters like Starlord who got buffed randomly, Elsa, Phoenix, Cyclops and DD are still superior in most situations, although the margin is not as high rn, except for Cyclops, the real issue are the support characters, they are unbelievably broken and they end up getting buffed almost every single patch for no reason, eventually that will make every dps have a harder time, not just us.

On the topic of bans, i also asked him what are the best bans to play Sai and he said: Cyclops, Luna/Fox(ONE OF THEM MUST GO AND THIS SHOULD BE YOUR PRIORITY), Loki or DD. Depending on the map you should also consider Groot, like for example Midtown, Groot can be a pain in the ass for Psylocke to deal with on that map, especially if they have Loki/Mantis.

My own opinion: I think she is ok, and we are far better than lots of other dps, and certainly are better than the trenches of S6, however, supports really need to get nerfed, i am not kidding when i say that Luna/White Fox backline is undivable and you absolutely need a dive tank duo, Psylocke does not work in poke, you should play from the sides and angles and look to pester and disturb supports, peeling can be good but its just not as viable as pressuring the enemy backline, if you wanna play main/peels and have an easier time you should play Starlord, Elsa, Phoenix, Cyclops and Punisher.

I do personally want buffs, like shuriken going up to 10dmg and or a 0.18 spread at 10m on primary fire(currently 0.20).

But i believe that supports getting nerfed and the other meta poke heroes getting nerfed is the priority over us getting buffs, because we are in a better spot than S6 where she was i kid you not, absolute dogshit. As someone who experienced that time and still played her and made her work i say to all of you that LOVE the character and dedicate yourselves like me to be better at her to take this opportunity to play her and get better at those hard matchups, if she does get buffed in the future after playing her into this you will ALL farm.

I went 69/2 in my first ranked match after S7 buffs and i have never played this character this well.

I will most likely advocate for Psylocke buffs in the future though, because i don't believe support characters will ever be balanced, for starters, none of them should be 275hp, except Adam, Mantis and Ultron, they get buffed every patch and if they get hit with the slightest amount of difficulty they go on "strike".

I'm not saying the majority of support players are like this, but there is a good portion who is, therefore i do believe she needs a SMALL buff to keep up, but ideally, NERF the powercreep first.

Sorry for the huge wall of text, i am just really passionate about this character and i want to protect her from getting powercrept again, i do play competitive a lot and i want to get Celestial again, i got GM1 last season and almost did it, i will keep trying, thank you everyone who supports me and our community in general, you guys are the goats.

I've played like 10 games this season so far and i have a 78% wr on her, i do good on her, and ive been flanking a lot more this season, living on backlines and pumping numbers, but i feel like her primary fire needs some love.

Whenever stuff isnt working i go Starlord or Elsa and its a night and day difference for main fights, not flanks honestly, shes still better there, but i feel like her ultimate is so trash nowadays and it costs way too much, 3400 is harsh for how bad and inconsistent it is and honestly i dont mind it, keep it that way but give me a little more damage on my primary or better yet, a tighter spread on it to keep up with the powercreep.

Ideally you would nerf certain heroes, especially the supports but i don't think that's happening at all and we've just seen them buff Elsa when she didnt really need it, you get stacks so fast now its kind ridiculous.

Is it fair to say we need a better primary fire? More ammo? Tighter spread? More damage? Me personally i think a tighter spread would make her miles better and we would get our ult faster as well, not that the ult does anything though lol, its comical how bad it is rn.

So is this biblical greed or am i right? What do you guys think?

I mean, i can't lie, i wanted it a lot but they do like to bleed other themes into future seasons, like the Formula R skins were distributed thoughout a long time right? Iron Fist took a while to get that Kun'Lun skin for some reason, and Rogue also didnt get her alchemax skin this season, so maybe we get it next season in a mini pass or the battlepass?

Lets be happy that the meta picks got nerfed and rock our current wardrobe, we must resist this season friends, and its ok.

Ignore the MK, Torch and Namor changes.

What matters to us is Cat, DD, Phoenix and Starlord, they all got hit relatively hard, except for Starlord maybe.

I wouldve taken Luna nerfs as well, but this bodes really well for us, we might finally be free of banning DD every game now, and Dino also got nerfed.

Sai didn't need buffs imo, and these patch notes make her inherently stronger, im also glad about the Elsa minor buff as shes become my second main.

Been a while since we had a discussion about the game and our girl, how do you all find the new season?

I've been away for a while, focusing on irl projects and my studies, i got GM and stopped playing after a losing streak that made me really frustrated, this season wasn't very fun for me, i had good days and very bad ones, but i managed a 65% wr on Sai with like 40 games played, mostly banning the Dino a lot, playing against him is miserable, but after last week and my latest losing streak alongside having to flex support and tank a decent amount my patience was gone, i haven't played since and im trying to stay away for at least a week, maybe more to see if my will to play and improve on the game comes back, still miss the game but for the purpose of being more chill in life and more productive with my work and my studies routine i have been away, will probably only return in S8.5.

This is the first time ever since the game's release where i've actually haven't launched the game in over 6 days, it's weird but somewhat liberating.

The constant buffs to supports and already broken dps really drain my fun and enjoyment of the game, also my will to improve, i'm afraid we might get a repeat of S6 and 6.5 soon if things keep going this way, what do you all think?

In light of the recent post about the Samurai skin, can we all agree this is THE one skin we all really want?

Like i would trade the Disco, Tennis and the Pirate skin for this one, doesn't even need to be legendary and i think it would still be the skin i wear the most in the game.

Psylocke main here looking for a Venom main to duo with, use vc and combo dives.

I solo queue currently and im stuck in GM2/GM3 hell.

From my experience with random players, Venom is the best dive tank to play together with, i can also do Emma, Luna and Gambit, and mostly all hitscan dps.

My goal is to reach Celestial by the end of this season and im willing to try to get a duo to help out, my friend who i used to duo with has quit the game.

If anyone is interested pls let me know, PC and Northern Virginia servers only, i cannot play any other NA server because im from Brazil and Dallas or Oregon put me at 200+ ping, Virginia is 140, its doable.

For context, i want to personally talk with this community who has been always so very kind to me, lately i've been struggling so hard in this game and i can not for the life of me get out of GM3/GM2 hell, i've reached 90+ points in GM2 3 times already and i always lose my rank up game.

I'm not sure if i'm playing terribly or if i'm getting shit teammates, i want to get Celestial so bad this season yet i cannot climb out of GM2, i put so much time, effort, even money into getting good at this game, from a better mouse, to a glass pad, to using ExitLag because i have to play NA at 150 ping, anyone on Celestial or higher willing to help out?

I have a full time job and go to the gym etc, my days are usually busy and i have only night time to play, been solo queuing and i feel like i've plateaued, i aim train, practice a lot, watch streamers, etc, it's not the character, it's me, and all this time that i've put into the game is making me feel like i'm wasting time i should be doing other things, for example, i have just graduated from Law School and i should be studying for my lawyer bar exam, yet i've slacked off in these past months trying to achieve something that won't even give me any money.

Yes, that's dumb, should i just give up and take it more casually? I am 28yrs old with a business of my own and lots of other stuff that should be taking priority over this game, but i have grown so in love with it, Sai as a character and our community, playing her is one of the few things in life that i truly enjoy rn.

TL;DR : I am conflicted in wether or not i should continue grinding this game so much, it feels like it doesn't reward my skill or time invested and i have other stuff irl to worry about, is it worth it, or should i just suck it up and camp my gm2 rank up till the next season?

We just saw she is getting yet another skin, so here is what i hope, i want something more Ninja/Kunoichi inspired, give her a lethal look, i like all her skins but i want a break from all the bright colours.
