Hey everyone, just wanted to share this to warn you all!

I recently received a text message from "Revolut" claiming that an agent was about to contact me. Shortly after, I got the call and picked up. The caller asked if I had just authorized a transaction from denmark and even specified what type of phone it was initiated from. They also knew my correct country of residence.

The operator then told me we needed to log out of my account, log back in using an OTP, and complete facial recognition. I was already suspicious and asked why on earth we were doing this over the phone, especially after an anonymous text (even though the sender ID said Revolut, there was no actual number or anything) and with absolutely zero notifications inside the official app or via email.

The agent immediately started smooth-talking, throwing out tons of details about Revolut's branches and future physical locations opening in Italy, trying to sound legitimate. He then threatened that if we didn't do it right away, they would freeze my account for 180 days, and I’d have to go through legal channels to get it unlocked. Classic high-pressure tactics.

I stayed calm, told him to hold on for a second, and opened the Revolut app. That's when I discovered an amazing feature: the app explicitly alerts you if Revolut is NOT currently calling you.

As soon as I saw that, I reported the number, sent all the details to Revolut via the in-app support, and hung up on the scammer.

Please be extremely careful! The guy sounded very professional, well-informed, and prepared. But a bank will never call you out of the blue and ask you to do something like this. Stay safe!

I just stumbled upon an Instagram reel from Dynamic Bike Care showing some crazy good deals on a complete chain waxing setup, including the wax and the actual melting pot heater. The Instagram page itself looks honestly great and super well-put-together, which is what initially caught my eye since they are heavily marketing it as an affordable way to switch to the wax life. Visually, the whole ecosystem looks exactly like Silca or Muc-Off but at literally half the price. However, when I did some digging online, things started looking sketchy. Their actual website looks pretty poorly put together and a bit cheap compared to their clean social media presence. On top of that, there is barely any detailed information out there, the few reviews I managed to find are pretty terrible, and everything feels incredibly vague. The whole brand gives off strong vibes of cloning premium products for cheap, and my gut feeling says it smells a bit fishy. Has anyone here actually bought from Dynamic Bike Care? I'm wondering if their waxing kit is a legitimate hidden gem or just cheap e-waste before I risk wasting my money.

da circa 10 anni lavoro per una multinazionale in Italia. Ho iniziato da un ruolo operativo gestendo un'area fino a diventare manager del mio dipartimento.

Ho "investito" su di me andando a lavorare a 60km da casa, prima in treno e poi con la promozione in auto aziendale (telepass a mio carico, benzina pagata). Mi sono fatto il mazzo e ho portato a casa una discreta RAL e posizione.

Negli ultimi due anni ho iniziato a soffrire il pendolarismo, odio il traffico quindi mi alzavo super presto ed ero in ufficio alle 7.30, andando via alle 16.30/17, sempre per rientrare ad un orario consono ed evitare il traffico.

Ho sempre fatto sport quindi dovevo anche incastrare gli allenamenti.

Sei mesi fa l'azienda ha deciso di riorganizzare alcune posizioni e mi ha chiesto/obbligato a cambiare ruolo. Stesse condizioni e livello ma a 10 minuti da casa in una sede che abbiamo qui (in cui mi hanno sempre negato di poter fare il ruolo che avevo prima da remoto). EDIT: il mio ruolo attuale mi sta benissimo, quando mi hanno fatto la proposta erano preoccupati per me ma inconsiamente mi hanno aituato.

Ora il mio vecchio dipartimento non se la passa bene e mi hanno richiesto di tornare al ruolo precedente per un periodo limitato, lasciando aperta la porta per eventuali compromessi di location e un bonus.

Io di primo impatto vorrei dire no, ma ci sono alcune valutazioni da fare:

1- sono quelle richieste non richieste da cui poi potresti uscirne male alla prima occasione buona.

2- tot mesi a dare una mano non sono un problema, purchè rimanga un periodo limitato.

3- non ho assolutamente voglia di rientrare in HQ e rifare la vita di prima, nemmeno per il doppio dello stipendio.

4- il mio ruolo attuale mi lascia molto tranquillo a livello di impegno, lo ammetto, e a tendere l'azienda potrebbe inglobarlo in altri ruoli diversi dal mio. A quel punto mi dovrebbero ricollocare ma vicino casa non ho molte opzioni, rischierei di dover rientrare per forza in HQ, magari senza potere di trattativa come ora.

La mia idea quando dovremo riparlarne è:

- capire quali sono le aspettative da me visto che 6 mesi fa hanno riorganizzato tutto, io sono lo stesso di 6 mesi fa.

- capire a quanto ammonta questo bonus, aspetto una loro offerta ma io ho in mente una cifra

- ottenere come base la mia location attuale e limitare la presenza in hq a 1-2 volte a settimana

- in caso dovesse diventare un cambio indeterminato mantenere comunque la location (ma questo è solo da vedere alla scadenza, non gli do spazio per questa opzione al momento)

- io in HQ 5 su 5 (avremmo poi lo smart,6 giorni al mese, ma chissenfrega io preferisco lavorare a 10 min da casa) non ci torno manco per 100k.

- ormai il mio equilibrio è questo, non torno più indietro.

ho aperto un conto su directa e vorrei spostare gli investimenti, pochi, da revolut e anche il fondo emergenza. Così sfrutto il fatto che sia tutto già calcolato senza pensieri.

Solo una cosa: da due giorni se provo a entrare da web la pagina carica fino all'80% poi non mi fa mai accedere, da app sul telefono funziona.

è solo un mio problema?
