New Items & Recipe Changes

Wilted Heart: A new drop from slayed Withers, replacing the vanilla Nether Star.
- Decay Mechanics: Turns to ash 60 seconds after dropping from a Wither, or immediately if dropped/taken outside the Nether. All Timers are visible via a durability bar.
- Preservation: The 60-second decay timer can be indefinitely prolonged if the heart is kept in a player's inventory while affected by the Wither status effect, or if left on the ground within 1 block of a Wither Rose.
Withering Heart: Formed when a player holds a Wilted Heart in their hand during the Wither's initial charge-up explosion. Reverts back into a Wilted Heart after 5 minutes.
Incandescent Withering Heart: Created by dropping a Withering Heart into a 1x1 Nether Fortress lava well.
- Danger: Deals 1 HP of fire damage per tick to any player holding it without fire protection. The rate at which this damage occurs is reduced logarithmically based on the players fire resistance stat. Intended to be survivable with full fire protection IV armor & a fire resistance potion. +666% Fire Resistance fully disables this effect.
Re-Flamed Withering Heart: Formed by holding an Incandescent Withering Heart in your inventory for 60 seconds. No longer damages the player. Unlike previous stages, this item is permanent.
Scoriaceous Fulgurite: A specialized twice-heated glass used in place of glass in beacon recipes.
- Fulgurite: Created when lightning strikes any sand block.
- Scoriaceous Fulgurite: Created by dropping standard Fulgurite into a Nether Fortress 1x1 lava well.
Unstable Beacon: Crafted using a Re-Flamed Withering Heart (replacing the Nether Star) and Scoriaceous Fulgurite (replacing standard glass).

The Nether Star Ritual

Pyramid Construction: Build a Tier 4 beacon in the Nether, ensuring that at least 9 Netherite Blocks make up the top layer.
Beacon Activation: Place and activate an Unstable Beacon on the pyramid using any potion effect and a Netherite Ingot.
Starting the Ritual: Drop a Re-Flamed Withering Heart directly on top of the active Unstable Beacon.
The Detonation: The beacon beam turns black as lightning strikes it for 3 seconds. The reaction culminates in a (somewhat) massive explosion that destroys the Unstable Beacon, kills all nearby players (ignoring totems, wither shield, etc), and decimates surrounding blocks.
Transformation: A Nether Star spawns at the origin of the blast. The blast-resistant Netherite layer prevents the Nether Star from falling into lava potentially exposed by the explosion.

Crafting Applications

Overhauled Beacons: Overhauled Beacons are now crafted using a Nether Star.
The Hell-Forged Armor Bonus: Insert a Nether Star in place of the middle ingot in any Chestplate recipe to grant the Hell-Forged Bonus.

Passive Abilities

Wither Shield:
- Grants projectile immunity below 50% hp.
- Negates fatal damage and instantly grants Resistance V for 20 seconds. (10-minute cooldown).
Netherborne:
- Grants +666% Fire Resistance
- Clears all vision obfuscation and sight penalties while submerged in lava.
- Increases horizontal movement speed in lava by +400%, intended to match the mobility of Depth Strider III.

BEACON SYSTEM OVERHAUL

Core Mechanics & Global Rules

Vanilla Coexistence: Unstable beacons remain completely vanilla aside from their new crafting recipe. Players may build and use as many unstable beacons as desired; however, activating an Overhauled Beacon removes the functionality of unstable beacons the player who placed the overhauled beacon was benefitting from.
Coverage Area: Overhauled beacons project effects across a square whose radius is 250m by default.
Anti-Stacking: Multiple Overhauled Beacons cannot be used in conjunction with one another to bypass token or effect limits.
Token Allocation System: Players no longer select primary/secondary effects. Instead, beacon levels grant Tokens. Tokens are spent to unlock potion effects or to increase the level of an already selected effect. All effects are available starting at beacon level 1.
“Purchasing” Effects: Activating an overhauled beacon does not cost an ingot.
Multiplayer Restrictions: Overhauled beacons are bound to the player who placed them. No other player can benefit from them.

Default Effect Level Caps

Night Vision: Capped at Level 1 (Costs 0 Tokens)
Invisibility: Capped at Level 1 (Costs 0 Tokens)
Resistance: Capped at Level 1
Health Boost: Capped at Level 1
Regeneration: Capped at Level 2
Haste: Capped at Level 2
Strength: Capped at Level 2
Speed: Capped at Level 3
Jump Boost: Capped at Level 5

Standard Pyramid Tiers

Level 1 Beacon: Grants 1 Token. Supports a maximum of 2 simultaneous effects.
Level 2 Beacon: Grants 2 Tokens. Supports a maximum of 2 simultaneous effects.
Level 3 Beacon: Grants 3 Tokens. Supports a maximum of 3 simultaneous effects.
Level 4 Beacon: Grants 4 Tokens. Supports a maximum of 4 simultaneous effects.
Level 5 Beacon: Grants 5 Tokens. Supports a maximum of 4 simultaneous effects.

Netherite Pyramid Buffs

9 Netherite Blocks:
- Grants +1 additional Token (6 Total).
- Increases the simultaneous effect limit to 5.
- Raises the Haste cap to Level 3. (Note: Haste 3 would be rebalanced to allow insta-mining of Deepslate).
34 Netherite Blocks:
- Grants +2 additional Tokens (8 Total).
- Removes the simultaneous effect limit entirely.
- Raises the Strength cap to Level 3.
- Functions as an active chunk loader and grants infinite, cross-dimensional effect range.
285 Netherite Blocks:
- Raises the Health Boost cap to Level 10.
- Selecting any Health Boost level above Level 1 inflicts Slowness 10.
- Unlocks the secret advancement: "Truecel: never talk to a woman."
