Magwell choices Chen vs Wilson?
Got a new Garrison, and I’d like to try a magwell. I’ve heard good things about the Chen SI, but they’re never in stock.
How does the Wilson compare?

So I’ve had this 1973 Colt for a few years, and I bring it to the range periodically - but I’m really starting to like shooting it now. I spent a lot of time getting the chrome finish restored so that it looks like something straight out of Pulp Fiction, so I’m hunting for more of a workhorse 1911 that I’d still enjoy shooting.
I’ve narrowed it down to something non-railed and fairly simple like the Ruger Standard, the Springfield Loaded or maybe the Garrison, because I don’t really want GI sights on this one. I won’t treat it badly, but I won’t care that much about scratches and dings.
Anybody out here with both Springfield and Ruger 1911s that can comment/compare?
I saw Hickok45 seems to really like the Ruger.
So I finally have about 500 rounds through this little hand cannon, and I'm ready to appendix carry it. Anyone have an AIWB holster that works well? I like using a pillow/wedge and a claw, but I'm open to others.
Mini Notes/Review -
- FYI, the 1st 200 round break in was definitely necessary. There were some feeding and cycling issues initially, but they have all gone away. I also had an internal trigger reset spring issue that was causing it to not reset without pushing the trigger forward, but after a little finagling I was able to get it back into place. I think it may have been caused by one of my friends when he limp-wristed it while firing.
- I am very impressed with the accuracy and the tame recoil on this small pistol in 45ACP.
-One other note of interest - The standard magazines say "5" rounds, but both of mine easily fit six with no issues. 6 +1 is a great little carry gun for 45 ACP.
Was reading some article about Hamas, and they used this pic with an awesome VFG. It looks pretty strong, and I'd like to find one for my CAR-15.
I've resorted to cutting my Maxim CQB buffer springs to slow down the ROF and get proper cycling. Some have been perfect, some need to get cut more, and some are toast. Getting tired of ruining nice $ springs.
Wondering if anyone out there has found a reduced power flatwire, bigger diameter (Maxim Buffers are phat), shorty buffer spring. If found, I can then use them on both my Maxim stock/braced systems and my Kak mini buffer tube systems.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
-ILWT 25 % reduced recoil
-ILWT Gas Plug at setting 2
-Wolff extra power hammer spring
-Arc Fire V1
-James Bell MPX Sled/Trip (stout!)
-Stock Sig mag
The suppressed ROF was still kind of high because I had to keep the gas up to cycle it. I think I can still get that lower too.
So just picked this MPX-K up at a local shop for 1500 beans, and I'm not sure I like the telescoping brace. I had this Tailhook Mod1C brace (pics 2 & 3) on my Rattler before I got it SBR'd, and I think I like it much better. It is just way more compact.
Anything else that you guys have liked/disliked on the MPX?
Contacting Zastava, but would be helpful to know what this is called.
Too much of this for that little nut:

If anyone has experience with the Arc Fire installed in the 4.5" MPX, I would appreciate any input. Also wondering about the ROF on the 4.5" barrel? How is the reliability?
I have an OG Rattler with a 3 Pos FRT which is 100% reliable - but a bit fast at 750 rpms.
