how long does it take to learn lomi lomi in order to offer the massage professionally?

i am living in berlin and i am interested to work in some berlin spas as a wellness masseur. i have experience working in a yoga studio that also offered massage as well as years massaging from home.

i am looking at massage courses in berlin that will give me formal training and a certificate. they have a 6 day intensive massage and wellness course that they offer that will teach a number of different styles. i am surprised that all of these programs are so short.

there is a 5 day intensive massage therapist course that differs from wellness therapist that they also recommend i take.

they also offer a deep tissue course that is a weekend long.

there is also a school that offers lomo lomi in 3 modules. each module is 3 days long. so in 3 modules i would learn beginning to advanced. essentially 9 days in total. is this legit?

are these appropriate amount of times it takes for one to learn these styles in order to be prepared to work in welness and spa settings as a masseur?

the lomi lomi courses are (in euros) 680 each. the 6 day wellness therapist course is 1050. the 5 day massage therapist course is 950 and the deep tissue weekend is like 380.

I'm used to in the states they have longer massage school programs but here it seems to be a bit different especially since i want to go more in the wellness branch and not medical. i don't want to waste time or money. i also don't want to take these courses expecting i will be prepared and qualified to find work and be good at it but maybe these will be just what i need?

i need advice from others. please be kind! thank you very much.

reputable massage courses in berlin?

i would love to work at some spas like vabali for example as a wellness masseur. i have a lot of experience massaging but its mostly all been self taught. i know in germany, as a massage therapist, you have to have a 3 year Ausbilding but i believe the rules are not as strict when its in wellness area.

i am a full time graphic designer so i am interested in working a mini job on the weekends as a wellness masseur. i would love to take a massage workshop/course that would get me some formal training and a certificate.

could you recommend any good courses or maybe opportunities I haven't quite thought of?

thank you!

please have mercy and patience with me on this one.

i am already almost finished with the leg of the 1st sock but i am realizing that i think i messed up with the amount of stitches i cast on. for starters, i have no idea how to do the gauge measurement in this pattern. i have measured the length of half of my sock which is 32 stitches across and the length measured to 8.5cm. i don't know what this means but I'm assuming it means i am under gauge as its not at 11cm? i don't know what i do to get it to 11cm. this means i would need to go up or down a needle size until my gauge hits 11cm? but then where do i go from there to then determine which size sock i should knit?

i chose the 64 stitches option as i have knit a few vanilla socks from crazy sock lady and i fit the medium 64 stitch option so i thought that i should do that again.

when I'm looking at the size chart here, it mentions lengths in EU and inches. is this for the length of my foot or for the width of my foot? if i measure the width of the middle on my foot it measures to 23cm/9in. all the way around but not sure if this has anything to do with the sizing chart?

my shoe size is 8.5in/41 eu shoe. so it seems that based on inches on the chart, the 60 stitches would fit me as i my shoe size falls in between the inches given there, but in EU shoe size, my size fits the 68 stitch count sock. i am so confused and would appreciate any help here!

i am knitting my first color work project, misto scoks by Olya Kulic.

there were two things that i adjusted for the pattern to make it easier to read. the 1st thing i did was switch the colors of the pattern so they could match the colors of my sock yarn. in the pattern the main color is white and the dominant is navy blue. i am using dark green and white yarn except the opposite way. my main color is green and the dominant is white, so when I'm reading the pattern, what is light should be dark and vice versa. it was tricky for me when knitting to not knit the wrong color. so i took the chart to photoshop and inverted the colors. for added personalization, i adjusted the color from navy to green. this all takes took 15 seconds. very quick easy fix!

the second thing i did was activate the markdown mode on the chart pdf so that it is editable and i added two red squares and lowered their opacity and placed them over the areas of the chart that i am not working on.

makes it so much easier for me to read the chart and knit faster. i am happy to help adjust your colors if you need or help you if you want to try it on your own. i can also post a quick demo vid of either of these methods if you would like to try it yourself!

i hope its ok i posted a snippet of the chart, i tried to show only a little snippet as to not give away any chart info for free!

So I have this transparent glass taskbar and my site has some dark and light pages so some of the text is sometimes invisible as I’m scrolling through the site.

I have made the taskbar a color variable so when I pull the taskbar from frame to frame, it does change to light and dark mode but obviously I want to keep my taskbar fixed at the top of my site, and I can only define the site frame as dark or light once.

Is there any way for me to get this automatic light dark color Change mode in Figma?

Thanks!
