Just like Madden NBA2K27 is 60FPS this year!!!
Sometimes after editing player equipment in franchise mode the game freezes and I end up having to restart the game. Does anyone else have this issue?
Madden plays up to 60 FPS docked and 40 FPS handheld this year and its doing numbers on Switch 2. Cross play is ideal but not needed when the port is good enough. Hopefully EA improves FC27 or future FC games. Fingers crossed for 60 FPS NBA2K.
Hello my fellow sports gamers on Switch 2, I am happy to say that Madden 27 plays up to 60 FPS on Switch 2. Its plays mostly 60 FPS docked and feels around 40-50 FPS handheld. On the field gameplay targets 60 FPS while most on the field cutscenes are 30 FPS. On field gameplay feels smooth and is miles ahead of Madden 26 on Switch 2’s framerate. Hopefully this helps anyone who was skeptical about Madden on Switch 2 this year and hopefully NBA2k27 is 60 FPS this year as well.
Madden 27 on Switch 2 plays at 60 FPS but isnt locked so it may drop frames every now and again. The on the field gameplay is 60 FPS while cutscenes are 30 FPS. For those wanting 60 FPS gameplay it’s there and plays very smoothly.
As someone who has had a Switch 1 since launch day 2017, I am disappointed in the lack of basic modern day console features the Switch 2 still lacks. I love the fact that my other consoles can have customization through themes, media apps, and a way to send messages or game clips to friends. I truly love that the Switch 2 is the first Nintendo system to have native gamechat but not having a way to send messages to friends is odd. A portable console in 2026 not having media apps like Netflix or YouTube is very uncommon to say the least. The games are great but I can only imagine how people coming from PC, PlayStation, or Xbox feel when they see how barebones the system is as an entertainment device. What console features or media apps would you like the Switch 2 to have in the future?
The Switch 2 is a great system and having native voice chat on console is awesome but what about messaging friends or potentially new friends? Now that the Switch 2 has more power it’s nice seeing more online multiplayer focused games on Switch. However if you want to make new friends or just send your friends gameplay clips there is no way to message people. The Wii and Wii U both had a messaging system but native no voice chat (R.I.P. Miiverse). Switch 1 had horrible voice chat but no messaging system. Switch 2 has excellent voice chat and even video chat but no traditional messaging system to interact with friends without opening game chat. Nintendo has said the Switch 2 will be around for a while so I hope we get a messaging system in the near future.
Played this game on my Series X and had a great time. The Switch ecosystem doesn’t have enough online multiplayer games of this scale, so I’m elated to see this game on the console. I only pray this game has solid performance because never in my wildest dreams would I expect this game to be on Nintendo hardware. Hopefully the port is good enough to where the servers are full of players for online play. This is the closet Nintendo fans will ever to a Gears of War like game on Switch 2.
It’s unfortunate that every time a big triple AAA game comes to Switch 2 no matter how good or how well the game runs if it’s not 60 FPS then it’s a problem. You would think 60 FPS automatically makes a game a ten out of ten the way people beg for it online. It’s crazy considering some of the highest rated games of all time are 30 fps or even below. I wish people would realize they’re playing on a tablet at the end of the day and not a console or PC. If 60 fps makes or breaks a gaming experience for you then I refuse to believe you were a gamer prior to the Xbox One/PS4 generation. Rant over…
Edit… Some say 30 FPS hurts their eyes. I’m genuinely curious on how did anyone who feels this way play video games before this console generation?
Edit #2… To everyone saying it’s not ideal paying the same price for game that’s 30 fps compared to its 60 fps counterpart on other consoles. Remember you’re paying the portable aspect of the game as well. Which unfortunately comes at the cost of performance.
Edit #3… For those saying they wish devs would offer graphics options or just lower graphical fidelity just for 40 fps or 60 fps, please remember that devs have artistic visions for their games that they won’t compromise just for 60 fps. Especially when the framerate is tied to the gameplay. Some devs remove certain assets from games to maintain solid performance on Switch 2 but they won’t strip the game they envisioned or the graphical fidelity just to achieve 60 fps.
