Hi guys

Fellow mom here. Is there some sort of stomach virus on the repeat this summer . We have had stomach issues June and now July .

House fully cleaned.. home cooked meals .

Typically I don’t get stomach issue but these two months the entire house hold was taken. Just feels too much .

39F, 195 lbs ( used to be 158 before getting pregnant) tall 5’8. I do have blood work from two months ago ( current ish), vitamins are up , blood work is good, blood pressure is always around 99/60 or 110/69 , home cooked meals mainly for nutrition.

I am 2 years ish postpartum, done breastfeeding over 6 months ago. Issue is both my legs swell. I am active in gym and I try to get 7-8k steps a day. I do work on office with option of step desk.
Everyone on my moms side of family has had varicose veins . After getting pregnant and for 9 month my FEET AND LEGS WERE HUGE. In my left leg, I do have a varicose vein which is not working to its full capacity according to the vascular surgeon . I do not have any bruising or blood pulling in ankles or discolouration. As a result of that there is nothing that he can do. I get daily leg pain, if I do not wear compression socks, my feet below my knees feel like stones. Swelling is there heaviness. My right leg swells more but I do not have issues with veins yet.

I want these out and gone but surgeon wouldn’t take ’em out that would put me as a high risk of blood clot and etc . I even ask to burn them nope.

What am I doing wrong or what is happening with my body. I honestly do not care about the vein look ….i care to be pain free and free from compression socks at least some less wearing.

What can I do get rid off the swelling ?

I have some big and small varicose veins and I need to have them either removed or lasered. This is affecting my day to day and I am sick and tired of wearing compression socks. The SK specialist won’t do anything bc I don’t fall into the critical category. Hence why I am opting to go private! To those that have had this done where have you gone in Calgary and how much was the cost ? What is a good clinic?

OMG . From January till now, I have spent in total $748 Canadian. On what?

On buying coffee, snacks and lunch when working in the office!

I feel disgusted!

This is not a small amount of money!!! 💵

I have food at home, I have coffee , I have a French press. I am not sure what happened . I sat down and added up things that’s the number !!!

My plan is … self awareness! Recognizing this is not okay. Full blown meal prep was done today! I actually cooked lunch for the whole week and it’s all packed up !!

I wanted to share and say I can’t have this happen again!!! Not in this economy!!
