What is your custom EQ you’re using for the Stealth Pro 2? How does it sound and perform for games, music, movies etc. put a picture of it so everyone can try!
I have the stealth pro 2 and have been using them for about a month now. I don’t have the volume up high and don’t have anc on. But here the last few days I’ve been having ear pressure almost like it in water or cuffing my ears. I’ve cleaned inside my ears, washed them out, tried to pop them… nothing is helping. Haven’t ever had this issue before and wondering if these headphones are causing it. Because they have a tight seal and clamping force. I was thinking of getting the Atlas air open back as I heard that doesn’t have that kind of issue since it’s open back. I love the stealth pro 2 but this discomfort is really bothering me. I know the Atlas air isn’t as premium as the stealth pro 2 but do you think it’ll help my condition?
I haven’t seen anyone talking about this so I wanted to ask if anyone prefers the original stealth pro over the new stealth pro 2? I had the original for a little bit and loved them.
the bad… few nitpicks with stealth pro I had was mic seemed very fragile. Felt like at any point it wasn’t going to work even though it did. Battery life could’ve been better instead of 12 hrs per battery maybe 18-20 per battery. ANC caused pressure when turned too high, and headband started to peel away from frame.
The Pros…. I loved the sound, directional was amazing and noise isolation was good too. App control was great, was decently comfortable besides the leatherette pads on a hot day. Build was pretty good and looked really nice too. Thumpy bass when wanted and very clear.
Now I have the stealth pro II…. I love them but here’s some positives and negatives I have, the bad, software…. Where to begins, well it’s missing features advertised such as sidetone while ANC is active doesn’t work, cutouts, interference, low noise level, mic not being detected randomly of ps5 specifically, not chat from Xbox to pc, HEADBAND….. why in the world did they chose this mesh headband??? Suspended strap or even a sports padded headband would’ve been leagues better for comfort and durability or even made the mesh replaceable???? The smell??!!! Upon opening the case I’m met with a vile smell that I can’t describe. A lot have mentioned this but after weeks of owning and airing out it’s still faintly on the ear pads.
The Pros…. Durable! Made with almost all aluminum so no worry of breaking unless you try too. Great sound with good bass and very clear with the dual eclipse drivers, 60mm drivers sound great instead of the 50mm in the original. Better app control as well. Crossplay 2.0 which means you can connect up to 3 other usbs along with the transmitter and swap between different devices without having them close or connected. Hi Res audio!!! On pc you can get hi res audio with the swarm 2 software but I don’t believe it’s compatible with ps5, they have their own surround sound…. Xbox maybe not sure. 40 hr battery in each battery so up to 80 hrs in total! Finally not having to swap mid marathon gaming sessions now you can play continuously without worry. Clamp force is good not too tight or loose. I personally don’t have an issue of discomfort from the mesh band but a lot of people have complained about pressure on too their head from the headband mesh.
There is more but that’s my 2 cents. So what’s everyone’s thoughts on the original vs the stealth pro 2? Do you prefer the original or love the 2? Or do you have both and why? Thanks for feedback and love to hear everyone’s opinions! Keep it respectful! And happy gaming!!!
When I go to press the button on the charging dock it sometimes takes 3-4 presses before it release the battery. Seems like when I leave the battery in the dock for a few days is when it does it. After it release it usually does it every time until I leave a battery in for a few days for next charge. Anyone else notice this or is mine defective?
I have the turtle beach stealth pro 2, and today I had an issue where when I turn the headset on sometimes it’s instant and others upwards of 5-10 seconds before it responds. Same with powering off. Is this normal or a defect or is it a software bug that should be fixed in an update? Anyone else noticing this or am I being paranoid?
I was playing online today and I started to hear some glitching interference sounds. Wasn’t bad but noticeable. Has anyone had this issue? All my WiFi is on 5ghz so 2.4 isn’t congested.
I currently have the A50 gen 5, and it’s pretty uncomfortable on my ears as I have larger ears. I’ve gotten the wicked cushions stealthz pads and they are larger with it’s the length that’s too short causing discomfort after a bit. I’ve been eyeballing the turtle beach stealth pro for a while and found a good deal, and wanted to ask everyone should I sell me A 50 and get the stealth pro? For anyone that’s had one how is it holding up, durability, wireless connection like any interference and have any issues to know about or is it the best around? I know for FPS games the stealth is regarded as one of the best for positional audio. But I’ve also heard the mic breaks pretty quick on the stealth. I love my A50 but want everyone’s opinion who’s had/has the stealth pro or if you have both how do they compare? And yes I’m aware the stealth is 3 years old and the new stealth 2 is almost here but I do not want to spend $350 for a headset… I didn’t for my a50 new actually half retail.
Give me some info on either set specifically the stealth pro as I pretty know what the a50 has to offer and how it compares? Should I get the stealth pro and replace my a50 or just be happy with what I have and deal with the discomfort. Everything else on the a50 is perfect. Thanks
