Call center managers/supervisors: what’s your biggest operational headache?

For anyone who manages or supervises a call center/customer service team, what part of running the operation gives you the biggest headache?

Could be staffing, scheduling, training, turnover, quality, repetitive/manual work, performance management, technology, or something completely different.

What problem takes up more of your time than you think it should? And how are you handling it currently?

Just curious to hear what managers are actually dealing with day to day.

Hotel call center

Does anyone find working in a hotel call center draining? I’ve worked in other call centers where everything is automated and tracked down for example at my job we have to write every reservation down on paper that we do and also the rates we have to check an excel sheet it’s so draining taking reservations because I book for multiple properties with different disclosures and the pay is only $16hr I only took the job because i don’t have any other choice plus I’ve been laid off from my tech job going on 2 years now I’m tired
