Extremely worried about my mom's health
My mother (426years old) had a sudden blood pressure of 210/100 and was admitted to the hospital. And also her bp is always high and she had stopped taking meds after a point..She had tingling and pain in both hands, mainly affecting the index and middle fingers, which was worse at night while sleeping. After receiving BP medication in the hospital, her blood pressure came down and the tingling/pain resolved.

Serum Creatinine: 0.8 mg/dL (Normal)
Blood Urea: Normal
BUN: Normal
Liver Function Tests: Normal
ESR: 25 mm/hr
Lipid Profile:
Total Cholesterol: 181 mg/dL
Triglycerides: 124 mg/dL
HDL: 43 mg/dL
LDL: 113.2 mg/dL
The doctor has advised further investigations, including an abdominal ultrasound and other tests.
Questions:
What are the most likely causes of such a sudden BP of 210/100?
Could the nighttime tingling in the index and middle fingers be related to carpal tunnel syndrome or is it more likely due to the high blood pressure?
With normal creatinine, urea, liver tests, and blood sugar, how likely is it that this is due to a serious underlying condition such as kidney disease?
