I just bought a 2023 Defender 110 30th Anniversary Edition, and it has a couple of bulges in the left front panel (in front of the wheel well). Paint is peeling off one of them. I’m concerned something may have struck the metal panel from the inside and that there are critical components behind there. I can’t explain how else those bulges could have happened. Any thoughts? Is this opening in the door jamb installed and finished correctly and in an aesthetically pleasing manner? I am paying a substantial amount of money for the installation of expensive wooden doors, so I would like to know whether this workmanship meets professional standards. Could someone share an example photo of how this detail should look when properly finished?
I just had a new 2026 Defender 110 delivered to our dealer but it was sent to a Land Rover certified auto body / paint shop to repaint the door due to a chip. I was told they would repaint the one door and a portion of the adjacent door and panel to blend it in. What’s the best way for me to check their work to ensure a color match and proper paint job? What if I don’t have an inspection light?
What’s the best way to remove gutter sealant before applying new sealant? We are replacing a section and want to know the best way to remove the remainder so the new sealant adheres properly. This one was removed using a circular wire brush drill bit. Is removing it with a solvent and a scraper knife better? Aren’t those scratches an oxidation risk? Aluminum gutters.

This outside corner drip edge flashing looks wrong. The drip edge flashing has a big gap that’s smothered in sealant. I am worried that sealant will deteriorate, and with no drip metal behind it, water will drip back behind the gutter and onto the fascia. Any recommendations on how it should be done? How to fix it? Pictures of proper installations?
