Pantasay Astroboy
This was my first non-lego build that I wanted to share. I got it for $60 from second and charles. I think the bricks are high quality, and there was only one wrong price in the set. Over all I think the build is a bit more fragile and unpolished then what I would expect from an official lego set, and I also feel like I don't think it looks quite as good in real life as it did on the box.
Glad I found this sub, I've been on the fence about wether or not I would buy more knock off legos. I feel like lego set prices are a bit insane. I was able to build up a pretty serious backlog from the recent sale season though, and I think if you can get an official lego set for 20 to 30% off I think the price becomes much more reasonable for the added quality, but I think generally speaking all sets should be 20 to 30% cheaper msrp considering all your paying for is ABS plastic bricks.
I really hope the growth of unofficial Lego sets forces Lego to be a bit more competitive with there pricing, and I'll be keeping an eye on this sub to help me keep my options open.
