I was transferring money from saving to checking but accidentally transferred from checking to savings. I maintain a minimum balance to avoid account fee. Doing so reduced my balance below the required threshold. I fixed my mistake right away but I am still worried if I will be charged account fee? Should I contact the bank and notify them of my mistake so I can avoid the fee?

I have an unfinished basement. The house is 100 years old. Had some water intrusion and moisture problems that have been remediated to some extend. I haven’t seen water in my basement for a few weeks now but still have efflorescence on lower walls at a few places. I am running dehumidifier three times a day for 2 hours. Looking to pay bell home internet using Chexy but when I try to add PAD details to My bell to setup PAD I get an error. I can pay the bill directly from credit card for full reward but I get $5 off for having PAD setup. My bill is around $50 so it isn’t worth giving up $5 credit for 4% cash back reward from CC.

I just recently found out about Chexy and Neobanc. I have also recently tried using Chexy for a payment that should go out in a few days. While waiting on that I got curious about Neobanc and I am still confused how it works lol 😅 With Chexy you pay bill, rent, insurance etc through bill payment or PAD option that get charged to a credit card for a fee. You get rewards on CC depending on the card and some aeroplan points on Chexy. But for Neobanc, you can even pay Credit Card with another credit card? Like I can pay a card that earns 2% on purchase with another card that will give me more? What’s the benefit? I have Scotiabank Momentum Infinite, Tangerine, Canadian Tire, CIBC Costco cards to pay? Can I pay rent, bills, mortgage, taxes with it? What’s the charges for using their services?

I am thinking of opening saving account with tangerine to get promotional 4.5% interest rate. How easy it is to transfer money between Tangerine and Scotiabank? Will I also need a checking account with tangerine to transfer money between the two?
