Notification From Amino??

This notification popped up. I immediately ran to log into my old Amino account thinking Amino was back (it's Not). But now I'm really confused because how/why did I get this notification??

And yes, I still have the app on my phone because it's been there so long I can't bring myself to admit it's dead, well I can, but I'm too sentimental to delete it.

Problem Dog At Work

I won't say where I work or the company, but I work at a local Dog Daycare business. 90% of the dogs are great. Good manners & okay obedience. A couple jumpers & ones that like to run out doors, maybe yappy or they play a bit rough but very rarely any true fights.

Well there's one dog that is a problem. A large neutered Doberman.

• Starts fights

• Dumps water bowls

• Just north of no listening skills

• Resource guards toys

• Jumps all over all the staff

• Will act like he wants to play Tug-of-War then nip your hand/fingers when you actually try to play with him.

And it's not like I (or other staff) can just ban the dog... Because it's the business owner's dog. We'll call the dog "Jaws" , not his actual name but I don't want this coming back to me & my boss.

So. Jaws has been at the daycare for maybe 20 hours (came late yesterday, overnight, into today). Well in that time he has STARTED 5 fights. Thankfully myself & other staff have broken it up every time before there was blood. We're having to keep him in a kennel because he keeps causing fights & we don't want the other dogs getting hurt. I have a good scratch on my arm from when I met Jaws, owner saw him give me the scratch & basically said "and that's why I wear long sleeves" like it was some sort of Gotcha! moment.

How do I tell my boss I think she shouldn't bring Jaws in? Let alone stay overnight because he's a danger to the other dogs, staff, and the business?

Learning Norwegian (Norsk?) & unsure where to really start.

Long post incoming. My apologies.

As the title says, I'm trying learning Norwegian (believe it's often called Norsk by native speakers?). I'm currently using Duolingo but I'm 3 "chapters" in and all I can do is maybe successfully ask for beer/water/wine/coffee. Tell the written & spoken difference between "A Mother" and "The Mother" (and other family members like father/brother/sister). A few really basic words like "the" "or" "I" "an" "a" "very" "smart".

It feels like I've basically skipped all the basics. If you asked me to count, list colors, or describe something in Norwegian I'd be running to Google Translate & sweating bullets.

Is there a better app for learning Norwegian that's free? Or maybe I just chose the wrong settings while starting up my Duolingo account? Google said that Duolingo's Norwegian course was great but it feels like I've walked into a classroom I'm not supposed to be in.

I want to be fluent in Norwegian someday. I'm starting from English (obviously) and I feel like I'm floundering. I don't care if it's going to take 3+ years of daily practice just to get to being close to fluent. I want to learn. I just want to know a second language & Norwegian jumped out at me for some reason. (Stupid reason I know, sorry.)

So if anyone knows any better language apps that are free or have a free tier I'm interested. Or if someone wants to *metaphorically* wack me over the head with a Norwegian dictionary I'd appreciate it.

Also, I'm sorry if this is the wrong subreddit for this post. I did read the rules but I might have failed that skill check. If it's the wrong subreddit can someone point me in the correct direction plz?

Anyone Else Unable To Eat While Really Mad?

So this probably sounds weird but it's a genuine question. Anyone else unable to safely eat when they are seriously ticked/mad/pissed/livid?

Because if I happen to get majorly pissed off while eating like: neighbors blasting music at unholy hours yet again after I get off a long shift at work or people I live with repeatedly speaking over me/cutting me off. I just start eating violently. I know that sounds stupid, it is. But basically I get pissed off somehow then just shove the food into my mouth as fast a possible. Like 8inch burrito crammed into my mouth whole barely chewed & trying to swallow it. Or cramming a whole Cup Noodles in my mouth in the span of 5 seconds without chewing at all. (Examples used have happened btw)

Of course I choke every time because I'm shoving a plates worth of food into my mouth & trying to swallow it all at once without chewing. Or if I do chew it's so harshly that I bite my tongue & cheeks repeatedly to the point of bleeding.

I've done this since I was a little kid. I don't know why or if other people do it. But I wanna know. Cause it's so bad it's legitimately not safe for me to eat while really angry. My therapist intentionally gave me food then pissed me off once because she didn't believe I did that I described above. Let's just say her carpet got Subway chunks all over it & I had to pull a huge chunk of bread out of my throat cause it was stuck. Friends that have seen it happen said things like "It's like watching a bear maul something but somehow more disgusting" and "you're like a dog that eats too fast & throws up or chokes. Just cause you got mad" "have you considered calming the heck down? That's absolutely disgusting"

So um yeah... Anyone else have this problem? Am I alone in this one & just absolutely crazy?

(Apologies if this is the wrong subreddit to ask, just tell me where I should be & I'll take this down & leave. I read the rules & think it's okay to post this here but idk for sure cause idk if this will count as a rant)

New To Alcohol & Confused

So I'm about a month into being 21 years old (legal age to drink where I live). I've tried basic beers, Fireball Whiskey, Buzzballs, red & white wine. Yet all of it tastes like I'm drinking hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol. Is this normal or am I just weird?

I've sipped something like 6 different types of alcohol & couldn't finish anything but a blue lemonade Buzzball, which I had to add actual lemonade to in order to drink all of it. I usually got about 5 sips in before I just couldn't with the taste & or the tingle in my mouth anymore.

Is there just a subset of the population that doesn't like the taste of all forms of alcohol or something? Because everyone I've talked to about it in person said they didn't mind the taste & often like it aside from like one type (beers/whiskies/ect). Meanwhile I'm awkwardly in the corner sipping on a ⅓ Buzzball ⅔ lemonade just so I can almost enjoy it. Question why anyone in their right mind drinks when it all seems to taste like varying degrees of hand sanitizer & paint thinner or something.

Is there something I'm missing, or do my taste buds & alcohol just not vibe like that? Maybe it's because I'm drinking at home (well trying to)? I don't know. But this seemed like the best place to post this and ask: Is it strange that I don't like the taste of any form of alcohol thus far?
