Front door gap issue

I have been fighting this issue off and on for some time now and I'm tired and need a real fix.

Currently there is a gap at the top of the door and the bottom hits as it closes. Both on the non hinged side. About a year ago I shimmed the bottom hinge for a gap issue I had. It worked well. Fast forward to now and I have this gap at the top. I'm guessing it has to do with heat and humidity maybe.

I did diagonal measurements with one being 87" and the other being about 86 3/4". I'm guessing this is the cause of my issue, what is the real fix?

I am very handy and usually can fix just about anything but this issue has be stumped. I've read so much such as adjusting hinges etc. Nothing has really worked.

I'm just about out of hair on my head from dealing with this.

JWB Prime Steakhouse

This place was a swing and a miss. I have had better steak at Texas Roadhouse. To compare apples to apples, the Fahrenheit 555 on Carnival was just a tad bit better.

Regardless, I wouldn't go back to either of them the next I'm on either of those cruise lines.

Cellphone case

What brand of cellphone case do y'all use? I would imagine it would be somewhat waterproof.

I've used a Supcase for my S23 Ultra but looking for maybe a better option.

F channel?

I need to make some removable screen panels for a aluminum framed enclosure. I want them to fit like a screen on a window where you push them up and pull them out to remove them.

Making the screens is no problem. However, I need a channel for them to sit in. My first thought was attaching lengths of F channel to top and bottom of the opening which would allow me to push the screen up into the channel and the bottom slides down in to hold it. Just like a regular window screen works.

Is aluminum F channel the right material to use for this idea?

Here is a picture of the screen frame I would be installing the new framed screens in to.

Peppers galore

Well if there is one thing that I for sure can grow it is habanero peppers. Three plants that are huge and one still has a mass of green ones growing.

NC multi family property

Looking at acreage in western NC, Cherokee County, for a multi family property of two to three homes. Is this difficult to do because of zoning laws? Has anyone here done this in the area I'm looking at?

Looking at property that is 10 or more acres.

Error when trying to view alert

Today I swapped out my 8ch for a new 16ch nvr. Now I am seeing issues and not sure why as when I had the 8ch for the last few years, all worked fine.

The issue I'm having is that when I get a notification of an alert on my phone and I click on it, I get the error message shown in the picture. I'm not sure what the issue is. When I had the 8ch one, I had no issues clicking on the alert and watching the clip on my phone.

Anyone have any idea what this error means?

Why?

This is totally unacceptable for any delivery driver to use a person's yard to turn around. Regardless of the condition of the property, this should never be allowed.

I have had the normal USP delivery trucks pull in and back out with no problem. There is plenty room for this van to back out. He obviously does not know how to drive or have respect for peoples property. This driver needs to be retrained on how to drive.

Adding extension

We need to extend this culvrrt for a project and would like to know how best to mate this metal culvert with the new plastic one. I know the new plastic one has an end that should fit into the metal one but do I need to mechanical connect the two somehow? There wouldn't be enough exposed metal to use a coupler band.

I'm guessing this mitered end needs to be cut off so it's flush at the end so the new pipe fits inside it. I've read some people put some concrete over them I guess to seal and secure them in place?

What a pain in the...

TLDR: I want to place a 2yd dumpster by the end of my driveway but Pasco is telling me I can't and need to file for a permit and a slew of other things.

The story: I have a ditch between the road and my property of which there is a culvert that goes under my driveway. I wanted to extend the culvert so I could place a 2yd dumpster there for my trash now that Waste Management(WM) has the new trucks with the arms to dump the cans and no longer have humans picking up trash. I have lots of cardboard boxes from my business from time to time and WM will no longer pick them up unless they are in a can. Boxes are broken down. So a dumpster would make it easier.

However, even though I live off a private road, I was told years ago that it is not county maintained, the county says I need to fill out all of these documents, attach pictures, surveys, arial puctures, blah blah blah, just so I can do a gravel pad for the dumpster. Do I need to hire an engineer to design the damn thing too?

After getting a run around on who to contact, the person who responded now tells me that the road IS county owned and maintained. Well if it is, its a dirt road, they better get out here and fill in the pot holes.

All government, state/city/county, are getting too big and are placing undue burdens on the every day people that just want to live in peace.

Pasco, you can do better than this.

Corn

I haven't been successful in the past with growing corn. These were picked this morning and other than the small size of the ears, it tastes great.

I'm guessing I need more nitrogen fertilizer to make the ears grow bigger. They are about 5.5" in length.

Need pad for dumpster

I am in need of placing a 2yd dumpster on my property and the only accessible spot is a ditch but I would need to build it up for the dumpster to sit on. I have had someone tell me to just stack 8x8x16 blocks with the opening to allow water flow. I don't want to cause issues for the folks living east of me. Of course the ditch starts on my property and they have no ditches in front of their property. Seems like it might work and be cheaper than a pipe and fill.

I've also considered a 12" double walled HDPE pipe and gravel on top. The pipe under my driveway in the picture is 12" so it would match. There would be a few feet between the two sections.

The road sits up about two feet higher than the ditch so I would need to make the gravel pad level with the road.

The road is not county maintained and is all private. I was told by the county I can do whatever I wanted.

Nooooo, not the diet peach tea

Well i hope this is just a fluke. I've been buying this tea for years and its always been consistent. I purchased three 6 packs and there is zero peach flavor. It has a citrus flavor which could be from the citric acid in it.

So disappointed.

DIY fuel door fix

Has anyone with a Tucson that the fuel door is stuck closed repaired it themselves? Just wondering what your experience was in replacing the actuator.

I have a 2022 Tucson that I put off fixing this issue.
