SMAA, Andheri : decent food, great vibes

We had originally booked Pind because I was craving proper Dilli-style Aloo Tikki. There was still a waiting time of around 20 minutes, so we were asked to wait at Smaa, which is by the same brand. They even mentioned that we could order from Pind’s menu while sitting at Smaa itself (with a slight price difference), otherwise we could just wait it out.

We initially planned to wait but the vibe at Smaa was too good to leave, so we ended up staying there itself.

The food was good, but the real highlight was the atmosphere. The DJ was playing absolute dancing bangers, the weather felt breezy & the whole place had a very fun, lively energy.

We ordered some Nuts Masala, Aloo Tikki Dahi Chaat, Honey Chilli Baby Potatoes, Pizza & a couple of drinks.
Nuts Masala : 10/10
For ~₹260, the quantity was insane. Way too many cashews, in the best way possible.
Aloo Tikki Dahi Chaat : 8/10
A little too much dahi for my liking, but still really tasty.
Honey Chilli Baby Potatoes : 9/10
Pretty solid. Would definitely order again.
Pizza : 5/10
Slightly too salty, though maybe we were already too full by then.

The total came to around ₹2500 after discounts, which kind of felt value for money since there were drinks too.

Would I go back?
For the food : maybe.
For the vibe & the DJ : definitely.

Whether he wins the Orange Cap or not at the end of IPL 26, Vaibhav has already won the season for fans

Made Kairi ka Meetha Achar; lowkey turning into my mom 🙈

Cravings can make you do crazy stuff..Made my mom’s version of Raw Mango sweet & sour pickle (like Chundoo/Launji, but slightly different).

Never really thought I’d be making achars 🙈🙈

I think I’m slowly turning into my mom..I made her version of Kairi ka Meetha achar, similar to Chundoo, but slightly different.

I never thought, I’d be making achars in my life ever, but here I’m! Bana toh Mom jaisa hi hai

Cravings can actually make you do crazy things!

Creative or Cringe?🤪🤪

An “Aambulance” actually roaming on the streets of Mumbai, I still can’t decide if this is peak marketing genius or branding gone completely off the rails 😭

Ditas, Lower Parel : Absolutely worth the drive, traffic & hype!

Visited Ditas today in Lower Parel & tbh, it completely lived up to the hype. It’s rated 4.9 online & for once, the experience actually matched the reviews.

We only ended up booking it because we couldn’t get reservations elsewhere in Lower Parel, but it turned out to be absolutely worth the 25km drive & the Mumbai traffic battle. The food was genuinely great, the kind of place you’d happily travel again for.

What surprised me though was that it wasn’t crowded at all. Felt a little unexpected for a place serving food this good.

For 4 people, we paid around ₹7,500 after discounts, which included all these dishes, 2 non-veg sides, and a few drinks. Except for the dessert, everything felt pretty value for money.

Overall, a solid 9/10 from me.

While Mumbai autowalas do have their quirks, spending time in Bengaluru definitely gives you a new appreciation for them.

Got any good (or bad 😅) auto stories to share?

I’ve been in Mumbai for a year now & I’d been wanting to visit Crawford Market since forever, still don’t know what took me so long!!

Today I randomly decided at 6pm to just go. Took me 2 hours to get there, roamed around for like 30 mins, bought some completely random stuff…& now I’m headed back.

But that’s not even the point.

A year ago, I genuinely didn’t think I could survive even 10 days in this city. And somehow, here I am.

Mumbai just grows on you. The chaos, the energy, the little moments in between. One minute you’re looking at these beautiful old buildings & the next you’re staring up at skyscrapers disappearing into the clouds.

It’s a city that somehow fits everyone in, no matter who you are or where you come from. It’s messy, overwhelming at times, but also kind of magical in its own way.

Didn’t expect it, but yeah…Mumbai has my heart now.❤️
