iPad OS 27 PB- Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence consumed 15 GB of storage space in previous Public beta and with yesterdays update, it takes ~10GB of storage. Disabled Siri too, anyway to get back the 10GB of storage?

Sorry if this has been answered before. Thanks in advance...!!!

Smooth and soft RAW images on Photos App

Using Pixel 9 Pro XL. I occasionally take RAW photos and any RAW photo taken after July 15, is smooth and soft (zero sharpness) compared to the JPG image. I thought some problem with the processing of the RAW. I decided to make this Reddit post and used QuickShare to transfer those files to my PC. But, the RAW images look normal on my PC, and yet totally soft and blurry on Google Photos app. This also happens with the RAW images captured using the front camera.

Also, I see this only on photos taken after July 15, RAW photos taken before those date still display perfectly on Google Photos app. I totally don't mind the zero sharpness, as processing them will bring back the sharpness, but this sudden unexplained change only for photos after July 15 is what I don't know.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Always a delight to visit- Xiangshan, and a question about route.

In Taiwan since 2014. Been to many places, but I tend to visit Xiangshan many times, if I travel to Taipei. Such a wonderful place and I still remember the first time my friend took me here in 2014 October.

Should try to do the full trek one day. Last time went until Jiuwu Peak (九五峰).

Wanted to know if anyone did the entire route and exited at China University of Science and Tehcnology (中華科技大學), or is there any other route? Will definitely try it next time.

Upcoming Pixel event

No leaks so far regarding the Pixel Buds Pro 3. Eagerly waiting for a new one. Currently hold Pixel Buds Pro 1 and it's going to be 4 years with this August. Works perfect all the time, but an upgrade would be nice especially in ANC and Transparency mode. The design of 1st gen is fine for me, although for some it kept falling off. I do run with mine too and they still stay good.

What do you guys expect from the Pixel Buds Pro 3?

Edit: Firmware updates have been a bit disappointing for me. I would love Google to improve on that area, especially for the price, some justice has to be done.

24 MP mode on Pixel devices

It would be wonderful if Google could introduce a 25 MP mode on the Pixels just like the iPhone. Better dynamic range at night time, lower processing time (affecting battery life ultimately), shutter lag, and finally image size.

Enabling RAW is more headache with 50MP images, 25 MP would be a good mid point. 12.5 MP is good, but it's 2026, and 25 would be a perfect balance option. What do you all think?

ARM (X Elite) version pulled off from Creative Cloud?

Using X Elite and Illustrator was working fine until 2 weeks ago, but now suddenly it shows as Illustrator build expired and it no longer shows Illustrator in Creative Cloud app, just shows as Open in Browser.

Is the ARM version removed? Anyone else face this issue?

Pace issues on Venu 3

Noticed something today. I was walking at a really slow pace due to my root canal treatment (pain in teeth, ear, and head). I decided to lift my wrist to check the time, and then I noticed the pace going down, despite walking at the steady slow pace. I was like, I am still walking and not fainting lol.

Took out my phone and recorded it. Thought it is a bug in just reporting the stats on watch, but the graph after syncing the walk activity also shows the drop in pace. Distance is not affected, but pace and cadence are both gone for that period of lifting the watch.

Anyone else notice this issue? From the video you can see that, the pace decreases as I raise my wrist.

SL7 Firmware update- May 2026

Finally a new update.

May 2026 updates

May 15 release

The following update is available for Surface Laptop (7th Edition) running Windows 11, Version 24H2 or greater.

Improvements and fixes:

  • Security:
    • Strengthen your device’s security. We’ve addressed potential security vulnerabilities related to Qualcomm advisories CVE-2025-47408CVE-2025-59603, and CVE-2026-21380 that may lead to memory corruption.

  • Performance and usability:
    • Reduce battery drain during video conference calls. We’ve resolved an issue that may increase power consumption when screen sharing in Microsoft Teams meetings.
    • Simplify device management. System administrators now have the option to turn off the stop error triggered by a long power-button hold. They can set the value for PowerButtonBugcheck to 0 in the registry.

This release contains the following components. The specific components installed are based on your device’s configuration:

A better Garmin App for 2026 or maybe 2027 at least?

Let me start by saying that I am a Garmin user since 2017. Garmin has redesigned their app recently and we all know that. But looking at the recent redesign by Google Health, that looks way better than what Garmin has.

Garmin provides plethora of information, so an app redesign like what Google did would be wonderful (link added below). I know Garmin does not believe in smart features and stuffs, but with their recent Garmin Connect+ promotion and all the data they collect, they could really do a totally redo of the app and provide insights in a entirely different way, something that would captivate every audience. A better UI in short.

What do you guys think is the biggest downside of the Garmin app? I am a Garmin user since 2017 and I feel the app has not changed much since then and it has been almost 10 years haha. Let us chime down in comments, and a healthy discussion please.

Installed the April Play System update. Kept wired charging some 40 mins ago, strangely the device was charging at 3-5W only and the device was not hot (although I was browsing using 5G). Did a restart and now it's doing full speed charging. Not a deal breaker, but just observed it and thought of sharing it. Has anyone else experienced it??
