EMW, no mater what!

My 10 month old, constantly wakes up between 5 to 5.30am and I'm so tired.

I have capped his daytime naps at 2.5 hrs.

I do his first nap at 9.30am irrespective as that's how I want the day to go.

First wake window is 4 hrs( assuming a 5.30am wake up).

We let him be in his crib till 6 am so that's up to 45 mins of crying. At 6, I give him a bottle post which he mostly dozes off in our bed for another 45 min to 1 hr

the WW are as 4/3/4.15-25

Off late, even bedtime involves crying too much. He used to fall asleep in a minute(sleep trained).

The last 2 days has been 20 mins crying. The EMW has been happening for some time now.

Should I try calling his naps at 2 hrs. Does he need more wake time!! Help????

Vacation ideas with 1 yo

Hi Mama's,

We are planning a vacation with my soon to be year old baby. Any ideas for baby friendly places from Toronto.

We are looking for 4 to 5 days, something relaxing- a bit of sight seeing. Ok with taking flights or driving to.

Nothing too extravagant, but special for us!

Happy to hear your ideas!

Lower milk intake after solids

Hello mamas

my LO is 10 months old and I have been an exclusive pumper since the beginning.

He has been drinking pumped breast milk and very very rarely formula.

He started with solids along with breast milk at 6 months and now he is on 3 meals : breakfast (fruit and porridge) lunch ( rice/veggies) and dinner ( eggs/ veggies/ soups)

There has been a drop in his breast milk input. I think I'm able to get him to drink about 500ml a day. He has been drinking 700 to 800 ml previously.

I read that milk is the primary nutrition. Am I feeding him too much solids that there no hunger for milk. should I absolutely ensure a minimum milk intake?

I'm feeling low that he isn't drinking as much

Please share your thoughts

Summer!

We recently sleep trained our 9 month old with a schedule that ensures a bedtime of 7.30 to 7.45 pm. My postpartum was difficult and the winters added to the gloom so I'm really grateful to the bright sun now!

I know a lot of babies sleep around this time. Mommie, how do you or do you enjoy the long days during summer?

Panicking coz I'm not seeing the light with daycare situation!

ok! I keep.reading everyone saying that slots open up.and you will get in during fall. I have been on the wait-list since Jan this year ( I delayed enrolling and I repent everyday but have enlisted with approx 20). I just called up a daycare where I am at no. 40 but the lady says the odds of anything happening this year are next to nil!!

Well the other centres, I am even behind! how am I to ever supposed to go back to work. Why aren't there enough daycare centres!!

Daycare bridging

Hello mamas!

So, if it happens that we get a spot in a daycare that's not geographically suited, but we still enroll our child, can we still be on wait-list at preferred ones and change when that one becomes available?

Is there a lock-in/ fee etc to change mid year?

I am so tired! Day 4 of ST and I'm loosing my mind

Today he cried for 30mins- which included me picking him in my arms to calm him down more than thrice and repositioning him on his back multiple times.

Please!!! when does it get better! can I have some success stories for motivation

Am i doing something wrong!

3/3/4: total nap time 2.5 max

Moved from co sleeping to independently in a cot

Hello!

At around 5 months, I sleep trained my baby using a gentle approach. I would get him drowsy, place him on the bed, and pat him until he fell asleep. At the time, we were bed-sharing, so he became accustomed to having me close by. Whenever he woke during the night, he would simply roll over or crawl towards me for comfort.

Now that he is 9 months old, we have transitioned him to his own cot, and it feels like I need to sleep train him all over again.

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong by continuing to get him drowsy before placing him in the cot and patting him to sleep.

The challenge is that he can now stand independently. As soon as I put him in the cot, he immediately stands up and starts looking around. I then pick him up, rock him for a bit, and place him back down. However, the moment he loses body contact with me, he becomes fully alert again.

It usually takes repeating this cycle three or four times before he finally dozes off.

Is this a normal part of the transition from co-sleeping to a cot, or is there something I should be doing differently?
