Got gifted a JBL Pulse 4

This is a very nice speaker. A friend of mine gifted this to me after my cheap bluetooth speaker stopped working. I was surprised at how nice this speaker is. The sound quality is pretty good and the build quality feels solid. This is a heavy speaker. The LED lights are cool but that certainly isn't a selling point for me. I would have spent the extra money on less lights and better sound. But I am very happy with this speaker. The battery lasts a super long time if played at low to moderate levels. But what a nice gift to receive.

New JBL Pulse 4 Connection Issues

New JBL Pulse 4 Connection Issues

Has anyone else had any issues getting the JBL Pulse 4 bluetooth speaker to connect with the Dell Chromebook 3100? I've tried everything. I can get the Chromebook to connect to the speaker, but the output source remains being to internal speaker. After connecting to the speaker, when I go into the sound settings in the Chromebook, the JBL speaker doesn't even show in the list of available output sources. I've researched on Google and it seems to come down to a firmware or driver issue for the JBL Pulse 4 speaker. Does anyone have any pointers on how I could get this speaker to work on my chromebook, I've done a hard reset on both devices. Forgot the JBL multiple times in my bluetooth settings. Nothing I do seems to work. And both the Chromebook and the JBL speaker both seem to acknowledge they are paired and connected. I just can't get the sound from the Chromebook to re route to the laptop. What else can I do?

The speaker connects to my smartphone and plays sound just fine. Also, I've never ran across anything the Chromebook was not able to connect to. This is a first and it sucks because I like this speaker and was really pumped to start using it with my chromebook.

Thanks in advance for any help. I really do appreciate it.

The Ghost Of Scooters Past

I sometimes wonder what the story is with these scooters that are no longer attached to their locks and chains...
