How strict is Wizz Air with cabin bag dimensions? (58×26×26 cm vs 55×40×23 cm)
I’m planning to fly with Wizz Air Priority, which allows you to bring a larger cabin bag up to 55 × 40 × 23 cm.
I have a backpack that measures approximately 58 × 26 × 26 cm when packed. So it’s slightly too long and slightly too deep, but smaller in the other dimension.
For anyone who has flown Wizz Air recently: do you think they would let me bring this backpack on board? How strict are they about the dimensions, and do they commonly ask passengers to put backpacks into the measuring tray at the gate?
I’d especially appreciate firsthand experiences with backpacks that were slightly over the official dimensions. Did anyone actually get stopped or have to measure their bag?
