This is a recently purchased home. We had new flooring installed before we moved in. This bedroom had carpet and an odor we were told was from a dog. It was a strong urine smell. The flooring company said no problem and they could replace any subfloor that needed to be replaced. We were not here when the work was done but I was able to come by on the day the carpet had been removed. The company said the odor was taken care of. On our first night here moving in the smell was overwhelming and actually made my mother who lives with us sick. We closed the room off and put towels under the door and called the flooring company. They have come back everyday for a week removing pieces of subfloor and kilnzing the rest. They removed baseboards. The room still smells. I finally called the listing agent and put pressure on her to find out if we were really dealing with pet odor or something else. She called the sellers and they confessed their elderly mother had lived in the room and peed on the carpets for over a year. So I am thinking absolutely all the subfloor needs to be replaced. What do we do? Can the urine escape under the subfloor and that hold odor as well?

Got the panel off to look at it closer. No obstructions, nothing. Free and clear of everything. Fluids are all good. Just sticking in the up or down position. It’s nearly unusable. Can’t control the motion easily.

60 hours. Dusty from the work today. 2025 Kubota BX-1880. It’s like the up and down just kind of lock into place and feel unresponsive.
