I know that generic 4 to the floor beats seemed less and less interesting with the new updates. But now I found that this particular genre is perfect for micromanaging those tiny fractions of details to be seamless.

Hey all!

Every time I make a mix, I pick an abstract vibe or angle and give myself a challenge. The angle for this one is “Crowdpleasers.”

The challenge was to start at track 1 and build the mix tracklist completely on the spot. I had around 3 minutes to think of the next track each time, and if I ran out of time, I failed the challenge.

I managed to keep it going all the way to what felt like a natural ending. Mastering and fine-tuning came afterwards, of course. During the actual challenge, I only used volume and EQ/bass.

I think the limited window and pressure actually helped keep the mix in a certain lane.

Hello all!

After spending a couple of weeks buried in my own Spotify mix, here it is:

Sunrise Afterhours Club Mix, a 3h11min seamless mix with all the new update has to offer integrated in the transitions.

Musically, it sits in the afterhours sweet spot if you ask me. Danceable and steadily propulsive, but never demanding peak-time energy. It’s built for the final hours of a club night, when the sun is coming up and closing time is slowly approaching but the concept of time has been long forgotten after being on the dancefloor for so long. (Mondaymorning 08:00 - 11:00 was my vision). You can properly dance to it, but also simply put it on at home with friends, at a pre-party or an after. In the track-selection there’s a variety of my own signature as DJ Try/Me. Bit of Party Flow laced surprises are to be expected. In the storytelling of this mix I tried to balance patience with payoff with a higher reward for being a soldier and dance until the end of times.

As most of you know, I learn by doing and by ear. The latest update suddenly gave me far more control over effects, transitions and BPM. With no formal technical background, that has been quite a lot to figure out. This is my first full result using those new controls. I didn’t play it safe and went nuts with the details, so I’m especially curious to hear your take on the transitions: what works, what doesn’t, and what I may be doing without knowing its technical name etc.

I also got the new update. Feeling slightly overwhelmed. Just finished Party Flow 13. Wondering how and where to start tweaking.

Or is it better to start with a mix that runs on smooth overlaps instead of this one that leans heavily on track selection?

Made a long seamless mix built around groovy club house, classic pressure and smooth late-evening flow. Handcrafted and well-curated with attention to detail to create a smooth symphony instead of 2u43m likeminded tracks in a row with smooth transitions. Feedback most certainly welcome!

It starts warm and steady, then moves through more clubby sections without turning into big-room stuff. Good if you have people over pre- and after a party to let the room settle into a long, house-driven groovy flow.

Hello there!

Bit of a different one from me.

One of my closest friends asked me to put together the afterparty mix for her wedding, specifically those two strange hours where all the guests are still around, everyone’s dancing, and somehow the flow suddenly feels incredibly important.

There’s a lot of personal history, inside jokes and emotionally important tracks in this one, so I’m not really changing the tracklist anymore. At this point I’m mostly obsessing over small sequencing details, pacing, phrasing, transitions and overall continuity.

It’s probably the clearest example so far of what I mean by “Party Flow” mixing — less focused on strict genre coherence, more on whether the set still feels socially believable from moment to moment.

Curious what people here think, especially regarding tiny technical details that may start bothering me later once I can’t change anything anymore.
