I know a lot of people already think GW female faces are kinda ugly, but I want straight up female orcs and ogres to get more kits. Even if it's just in the form of limited run resin kits or bloodbowl stuff. I just think they're fun.
Even among 3D STL makers it isn't common, everyone just goes for overly pretty orcs and ogre girls.
Saw discussion on how KR Amazon is the most brutal rider, but Ultraseven was out there straight up beheading Kaijus every few episodes. Poor Eleking got sliced into chunks and exploded into puddles of blood. Even Taro did a Mortal Kombat fatality on Mefilas.
Printed on the P2S in PLA with a mix of Resin and Tree supports. The Axe Warlord came out amazing, but the flail orc's layer lines are more prominent, maybe a thicker coat of primer would have helped. Both still look great on the table.
They're probably the lowest on the popularity charts for the Heisei New Gen Heroes, but I always liked their bro dynamic. Loved the cozy small town feel of the series and the positive vibes of the Minato family.
3D printed on the Bambu P2S, I was blown away that it managed to print at all.
Finished painting him up, and besides the tips of the Cape being a little off would you even be able to tell this was printed on FDM? I'm legitimately amazed although it took a few tries and manual slicing to get it to print properly. Even put him on a modular base so I can take him to whatever game system I want, although he looks ridiculous on the 30mm with the axe tip overhanging.
Reprinted in manually split sub assemblies, turned out way cleaner. The difference isn't drastic, but with sub assemblies it's easier to reprint failed parts, and I think stuff like the Cape, Right hand, and Axe end up looking better.
Was having this discussion in another thread about that weird King Joe Sevenger and how it came with a playset. Also remembered that Belial had a castle playset too, I only just managed to find pictures of it because it's pretty obscure.
I just wish someone would make a box set with a whole city or something like that for your figures to fight in.
I had the legs printed in Resin for like a year or two before I got sidetracked. Got an FDM printer recently and was surprised it could print resin miniatures pretty decently.
Only really decided to finally finish this guy after buying some blood effect paint for other projects (and my friend coming over and pointing out the legs sitting around).
Kinda cheating, the legs were printed in Resin a long time ago. But the rest is all on a 0.2mm nozzle FDM. End of the whip is not attached in these photos but it's still impressive. I modified the supports for resin on some parts, but at least the belly cage prints with no changes. Amazing what FDM can do now.
I was hyped to see if he would show up in Z as an upgrade form after seeing pictures of King Joe Sevenger around, but he's just an exclusive in a playset. They should put him in something in the future anyway, seems like a cool idea.
Saw a post about cars the characters would drive, but how do these guys even fit through the car doors? How does Jack not have to have his knees up to his chest to sit in the car? Are his legs sticking through the bottom like Fred Flintstone? How is the seatbelt even buckled, is it buckled onto the middle belt slot?
Toho really needs to put their Choseishin trilogy on international streaming and make action figures of them again. I'd buy the heck outta some of those kaiju. With how much nostalgia milking Toei does, how hasn't Toho tried the same with an anniversary for their own franchise.
There was also a Moguera like kaiju called Megarion in the series and the actual Gotengo shows up in the crossover movie.
Quick rebasing and dry brush of the MTG Arena of the Planeswalkers Phoenixes and Firecats. They're really cool minis, probably some of the best in the series considering how smooth the sculpts are on some of the others. Still have a ton of others to repaint, but these always stuck out to me as exceptionally cool looking and in need of a tiny bit of paint.
