Which Minolta Autocord has the brightest focus screen? If they are the same, is any easier to swap than others?

I heard Minolta Autocord has a dim focus screen. Is this the same for all models? Also if I were to swap them out myself, do you have any recommendations?

Has anyone paired these two Tamron with a Canon film camera? Tamron 15-30 2.8 G2 & Tamron 35-150 2.8-4

I am thinking of pairing them with either EOS 1V or EOS 7s / Elan 30V / Elan 7NE.

Has anyone tried if Autofocus work work properly? Like not just for the center points, but for all AF points.

Thanks!

Has anyone tried DA 55-300 PLM version on K-1 (1st gen) under APSC mode?

I wonder how fast the autofocus is and if it is good enough to shoot some wild life or otherwise moving objects?

Anyone tried using this lens EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM on a film camera? What was your experience?

I have a EOS 300V. Will the autofocus working smoothly? Also can you share how does the color look on a film body? Is it too dry?

Thanks!

Making the absolute best effort to take a night sky time lapse photo with my phone. How far can I go?

When I say "absolute best" effort I mean I don't mind using the most expensive phone in the world; I don't mind spending hours post-processing on a computer; I don't mind getting lots of professional-grade accessories.

I just want to know without buying a camera, how far can I go? And has anyone written a blog about their attempts?

Thanks!

Do you do photo stacking with time lapse photos?

As the title says, is it a common practice to stack time lapse photos ( no star trials or tracking of a particular comet. Just wide angel holy grail Timelapse) when I take them with my camera?

I assume you can in theory use a sliding window approach, like stack photo 1-5, and then photo 2-6, and then 3-7, etc.

But I wonder if there is an easy way to do it and what are the pros/cons of doing that.

Is there anything wrong with C330S?

My research says that C330 professional S is almost the same weight as the C220f, and only very slightly bigger. Then it looks like the most obvious choice among the Mamiya series. But there are still some people saying C330 is preferred to C330S, why?

If I don't care about its fragility, ease of repair (I know the focus screen is not compatible with other model), and plastic feeling, is there anything that I should consider before going for it? Like brightness of the focus screen and ease of focus ?

The utility of a premium P&S 28mm camera - how often do you find yourself changing the aperture?

I am thinking of getting a Ricoh GR1s but I also note there are other good 28mm camera like Fujifilm Tiara and Nikon Af600. The main difference seems GR1s being able to shoot in aperture mode.

But my question is, at 28mm, even at f2.8 you won't get much Bokeh. For those who own a premium 28mm P&S camera, may I ask how often and when do you manually control the aperture? One scenario is if I am shooting lots of moving object then I would want to set at large aperture. Anything else?

Thanks

If I only want waist level viewfinder, is there a significant weight difference between 645 1000s and 645 super? If so, is there any advantage of Mamiya 645 1000s compared to Mamiya 645 super? I don't care about interchangeable backs or prices.

Hi!

I want a waist level 645 camera and I am eyeing on Mamiya 645 1000s vs 645 Super.

My first question is - is there a significant weight difference between the two if I only use waist level finder and mechanical winder? My initial research tells me although 645 super uses more plastics, it actually isn't that much different in weight since the film back of 1000s is heavier.

But if there is a difference in weight, my next question is, is the waist level viewfinder on Mamiya 1000s brighter than that on 645 super? Does the non-interchangeable back of 1000s make it slightly less likely to break if I force it to work in snowy weather? Or otherwise, is there a scenario where it is worth the extra weight?

Thanks!!

Does Google Family plan member gets their individual limits of Gemini? Are there any drawback with sharing a plan with strangers?

I know the questions had been asked multiple times already but its worth checking the latest information given how quickly Google changes stuff.

Pro users: three deep research and hit 80% limits. Is this the same experience with everyone?

Just want to figure out if everyone has roughly the same usage limit. There are conflicting information on this sub that some feels way exaggerated (like 1 query cost me 8%!) but some feels they have received special generous treatment from Google.

In my case I am hitting 80% usage limit with 3-4 deep research queries. Before the update it was more like 30.

Can you share what your usage limits in terms of number of deep research allowed?

Scan black and white film with phone (135 and 120)

I dont think scanning color negative with a phone is a good idea. But would it work for black and white film? for 135? for 120?

I can use some third party apps on iPhone to bypass its overprocessing. On flagship Android phones the manufacturer usually has "professional model" too so I am not too worried about phone overprocessing.

Pentax 645N + FA 150 2.8 + Lucky CN200

Pentax 645N is a popular choice of camera but there are surprisingly little enthusiasm around the lens FA150 2.8. It gives an equivalent field of view view of around 93mm on 645N and it is very lightweight for what it is, just weighing 500g.

I don't even shoot portrait and I am finding it to be the most used lens on that camera.

I am posting some photos under various light conditions in case it can be useful for someone.

The films are the CN200 from Lucky China. They were scanned using Noritsu and very very mildly processed in Lightroom, where the TIFF are converted to JPEG 17MP.
