This is a seedling from a hand pollinated pair
in my collection. I believe a slug got to the apical meristem tissue causing the termination. What do you guys think about the strange new growth? Hard to see in the photo but it also appears to have white variegation on the stem.

Grafted a small piece from one of the mutants I got from a batch of misplant noid seed. One year on graft. Third pic is the donor plant today.
I’ve been patiently waiting for this new growth since receiving this plant in the spring. Very excited to watch it grow.
Actually on its second season but it’s very tiny.
Seems like I haven’t seen one of these guys in a very long time. Hung out while I worked for hours.

Can anyone help me with this ID. Best guess on genus is commiphora but I don’t know.
My pot has a defect so I guess I’ll keep this one forever.  Ferocactus glaucescens f. inermis
These have grown faster than any other bursera species I’ve started from seed. Sown in January of this year.
