Is Nitrided Cast Iron even a thing? Is this even a real Cast Iron Pan?

So I bought the Cuisiland 12” Nitrided Cast Iron Frying Pan from Amazon (pic 1) as my first pan as I am moving out and buying my own pots and pans for the first time, so not really any experience. Turns out cast irons aren't supposed to have separate handles or have the line thingies (pic 2). Also, following the instructions to wash it with water, this black sooty stuff (pic 3) keeps wiping off.

And I couldnt find any other listings for nitrided cast iron or nitrided anything tbh. Did I mess up big time?

The main thing is not really if its carbon steel or cast iron, but if its safe to even use. If they lied about it being cast iron, what else you know?

I just worried, maybe overly so, I hope Im overworried.

Could anyone please help me out?

How to either unlearn or get faster at my peculiar typing style.

Ive been typing kinda wild style with just my right thumb on space, and only using the index and middle fingers on both my hands to type. Maybe ring finger's to reach a ;:'",./ or so and pinkie for enter.

I don't need to look down at the keys when I am typing most of the time BUT ONLY because of muscle memory, not because I know where the keys are. and Ive been stuck at around 70-90WPM 70-80% accuracy for so long, I can get up to 120wpm but thats only on a few words or phrases that I know really well and my fingers just know where to go like walking.

I really want to get a clean, accurate 100WPM+ preferably last month. But unlearning years and years of typing is tough.

Any ideas?

What humidifers do you all use?

I got nosebleeds and cracked lips and knuckles all year and I really want one, it would be for a pretty small room, its just for a single bedroom so its not huge, but Ideally Cool mist with a humidistat.

Is it just me or is ChatGPT/OpenAI the Microsoft of AI?

Chatgpt seems to me like the microsoft of ai. First to the market, had it absolutly cornered for a while in the early days, but competitors have caught up and surpassed it in both design, ease of use and power, while they get relatively worse with every update and can only lean heavier and heavier on the customers they got in their inital monopoly (and their referrals/word of mouth) who have gotten used to using it and are too lazy to change?

How does OMSAS want us to prove Ontario IP? + Ont IP rule impact on IP Admission rates?

Its been 1 cycle since the 95% IP rule was put in place for Ontario.

Im wondering:

  1. For those that applied this year in Ontario but DID NOT graduate High School here: How did OMSAS want you to prove Ont IP (12 months residing in the province without leaving)?

  2. How do you think the 95% rule impacted admissions rates for Ont IP applicants this cycle compared to previous cycles?

Thanks!

Upper Year Student Living in London Hall Next Year Advice?

Hey guys, Im starting second year this fall and will be living in London hall. Room selection I was told will be in mid July. I lived in Saug last year and had a great time. I see that London Hall is a different style from it. Being a Suite vs Suag being traditional dorms.

Im good with like cooking all of my own meals and stuff, but is there anything that ppl who have lived in London hall could tell me that is like, not obvious or explicit but is an important part of having a good experience overall? Like what floor should I choose, or where to live, size of the room, # of ppl in the room, and like room-mate dynamics like scheduling who cleans what and when and privacy and noise and stuff like that? And also for commuting and stuff. Im going into second year Med Sci if that is significant for like class locations and stuff.

Im not anti-social by any means, but would really appreciate quiet(er) hours at night and like, not having parties in the room.

Id love to hear any experiences or advice anyone who's lived in London hall, first or upper years has, thanks!

10/10 game but 2 things

1st thing: Phone dart is WAYYYY to op, it just seems like an easy bypass for litteraly anything. No pass to a restricted area? dart and walk by, need to pick pocket but no distraction? dart. and like afterwards the guys just forget about it. Either way too powerful or way too spammable imo.

2nd thing: no licence to kill means no guns (which I get for sake of plot), but electrocuting someone or throwing them off a cliff is allowed??? Seems HELLA more deadly that shooting a dude in the leg or hand LIKE WE WERE TRAINED TO DO.

This was esp funny in the training against SAS, dude just doing his day job in a training exercise, out of nowhere bond can just body him off a cliff lmao.

▲ 113 r/Warframe

For new players: Warframe is addictive, much more so than other games: pace yourself PLEASE

Little bit rambly, read if you want.

Amazing game, but pace yourself always, when you are new, the new stuff you unlock every hour seems endless, you want everything, the same stuff that people who have played for 10 years got little by little, update by update, you want it all now, and this, along with the game itself being absolutely stunning and one of the greatest games in this pve genre if not games in general, makes it super SUPER easy to sink hours and hours.

I remember the absolute elation of seeing a FREAKING LIVING DEMON MOON for the first time and being like I CAN OPEN WORLD ON THIS THING? As just one example of endless new unlocking, new mechanics, sandbox building, the community, the company, everything is amazing.

Not religious persay, but: The devil never tempts you with hell, he tempts you with everything you have ever wanted. In this case, warframe was everything I had ever wanted in a game. It was perfect. This, along with some circumstances in my life at the time, left me in a pretty vulnerable to it, almost like a drug. And it left me in a pretty pathetic state to say the least

I put in nearly 100 hours a week, into the game from when I first got it, I am talking 15-18 hours a day, every day, I skipped school, work, friends, family, sleep, everything. There was never a natural stopping point, there was ALWAYS MORE. I finished the star chart in like a week and a half, finished the whole story: up till I think angels at that point, duviri capped in like a month, MR 20 in 2 months, magistar slammy cascade capped in like 3. Sure it was fun, but like at what cost?

I can tell you: gained 40lb over the course of 3 months, got fired, grades slipped from high 90s to 70s, ruined/broke off all my friendships inc my relationship and, heavily strained my relationships with family, and lost all interest in life, just to name a few.

I had to delete the game.

Call me dramatic, call me an attention seeking lair, call me a pathetic weak minded video game addict etc etc. wtv idrc. This is what really happened.

Please pace yourself.

Will Spotify shuffle an 84 hour playlist?

Hey all, so I just have 1 massive playlist, and I have noticed that some songs never come up but a few songs get played over and over changing the shuffle mode doesn’t help, so I was wondering if Spotify shuffle had a cap on how many songs can be shuffled in one playlist. Should I just use an external shuffle with custom order and turn shuffle off?
