Fun finds from last week.
A homestead quarter with doubling in the window. A handful of die chips and a die crack. And not an error but a clad proof bicentennial quarter.

I came across several 25P halves with doubling on the stars and a No FG. A clad proof bicentennial quarter, my first. A homestead quarter with some doubling in the window and a handful of die chips and cracks. A silver dime, one with a nice sized die chips and a fun toner; it looks much cooler in person. And one oldie nickel.
A stamped quarter from my home state. And some minor die chips.
2 40% Ike’s from the teller. 2 90% halves from my latest bank bag. A 2024P DDR on the wing and snake. A few NIFC halves and dollars. 09D nickel along with some oldies. A stampede quarter and a handful with die chips.
I wish I knew what the 3 was supposed to be. I am excited to find a stamped quarter though and doubly so as an Idaho native. Though I do prefer AVs Idaho quarter.
A 2019D Idaho DDR and a handful of die chips.
2 40% Ike’s from the teller, a 45S walker and a 64 Kennedy from a bag. A small die crack Kennedy, 83P no FG Kennedy. A couple NIFC Sacagawea dollars, some old nickels and a 2009 and 2024. A dime that looks struck thru. A 2019D Idaho DDR. And a handful of small die chip quarters.
Is this an old roll, or just a new roll with some retro looking paper?
I was returning some coins today and one of the bags filled up. When the teller went to change out the bag I asked if I could have the coins from the internal reject bin and the magnet. She was confused as to why anyone would want them as she told me they wouldn’t be American money. I told her we still like to collect foreign money and that 1943 pennies are steel and stick to the magnet. She didn’t actually check the bin on the inside but she did pull all of the change off of the magnet for me.
7 steel pennies
A $2 Canadian
3 Canadian dimes
A 1950 5 phennig minted in Munich
And a 2 cent euro from Italy
The bag was $10.50 short in halves, but had $7.64 in other coins and 2 90% halves, so I am super excited. Now I need to go thru the 10 roll baggies that I made and check all the coins. The pressed penny is a fun find, unfortunately the earring was a single and not silver. I am up to 3 keys now found in bags, I’m going to have to start a collection.
I always ask if they have any dollar coins or half dollars. They almost never do but today they had 11 Ike’s. In those 11 was 2 S minted 40% silvers. Not a bad pickup for $2.
The chip on the obverse initials and the roof on the Harper’s ferry are the largest of the chips.
