Most reliable stage 1 tune?

Title. Thinking about tuning my 2017 A6. Just wondering what the most reliable stage 1 tune is. Don’t plan on launching the car/go to Mexico. It’s my daily so probably just a tune and a few bolt on goodies to wake the car up.

Car over 110k miles worth buying?

Currently looking at a 2018 A6 with the 3 liter. Has 115,270 miles on it but it is in very good shape and the carfax is absolutely loaded up with service history, although the only thing I can’t see is if the PCV has been done on it. The water pump was done on it this year, control arms done, all four corners wheel bearings done, all maintenance done since 2018 was either at an Audi Dealer or an Indy shop that specializes in German vehicles.

Dealership is asking 17k for it. If it’s as good as the pictures and carfax says and I’m able to verify if the PCV is done or not, is it worth picking up? I’d be going from a 2001 A4 1.8 up to this.

Starting my car shopping journey. To the S60 owners, how has your experience been?

Finally starting to look at upgrades from my 2001 A4. Mainly looking at Audi and BMW but Volvo has popped up and has intrigued me. Was looking at more sporty sedan models like S4/S5 and BMW models with the N55 and B58. I don’t really need a big sedan and I’m more into OEM+ mods than big stage 2 and up builds.

But the issues those cars/engines have had pop up in the past ten years have opened up my search.

I like the way the Volvos look and I don’t really see them where I’m at in the US. The T8 trim surprised me with it having 455 horsepower. But I know nothing about Volvo except they’re regarded as the safest cars on the road and the old models could survive the heat death of the universe.

Are they as good as they sound on paper, or will it be one of those experiences where I should have just got what I originally wanted? Mainly performance/reliability wise.

Title says it all.

Kinda looking to upgrade from my 25 year old A4 to something newer. Preferably with six cylinders because I’ve driven enough 3 and 4 cylinder cars to know I don’t really want one as a new daily driver.

Want something reliable with AWD. Narrowed it down to the F3X/G3X BMWs with the B58 or the B9 S4 or SQ5 with the EA839. B8.5 S4/S5 is pretty much out of the question because where I am located, stock ones and/or lower mileage examples that aren’t beat to piss and reasonably priced are essentially hens teeth.

I am an Audi guy at heart so I would prefer to get a newer one but the Rocker arm issues and now the Piston skirting issues has really turned me off of really looking at them. Don’t want to try and find a car that could have two catastrophic failure points at one time and not be covered by any warranty. Not interested in having to replace an engine.

If there’s a way to figure out if a car has the solid Mahle pistons and not the cheap pot metal ones the Koreans made and have the updated rocker arms, I am all ears!!!
