So just a quick update from the other day.

Some members, like u/vamploded have expressed that they don't like seeing videos with no discussion value being posted per the feel/purpose of this sub compared to many other DB subs that do allow silly/clip videos and the like. After some consideration and knowing that some members actually like and/or care what this sub is meant to be, I have decided to go back to the way the rule was originally written, prohibiting simple video clips that don't contain any real news/info or provide discussion value beyond "cool/funny clips" and such.

While those types of clips can be entertaining and I don't personally dislike them, they really aren't meant for this sub and are already rampant on most other subs.

And so with that I must also politely ask u/NoteKey91 to cease posting his video clip threads please. Your past threads will be kept in tact so I won't delete them, but from here on out, no more videos are permitted unless they follow the rule about them.

For anyone who did enjoy those clip videos, apologies for prohibiting them again, but members like vamploded remind me why I made this sub the way it is to begin with.... To attempt to differentiate it from all the other DB subs out there to keep it more unique and not have the same memes and simple clip videos they all have. To focus more on info/news and threads with discussion value/real opinions, questions and some threads you won't see spammed on all the other subs.

I liked Zarbon because he had a transformation he hid and was able to give Vegeta a good beating when he was so overly cocky. Zarbon had better screen presence than Dodoria imo. I'd give him a solid 6/10

It's been a couple months since our last update and we have developed a bit more since and I wish to thank all of you once again for making this sub active.

We have since grown from 3.3k members in March to over 3.7k in May, just two months later. We also have more members posting threads compared to the last 10 months of this subs life (created in July of 2025) so that is a big positive for this community that I appreciate from you all.

We also have a few updates to the rules and "About" and "Menu" (App only) tabs.

Sub Rule Updates: The very first rule has been updated to include prohibiting not only meme based threads but also strange/weird threads with no real discussion or informative and tag specific value. This rule update was made in response to a member who kept trying to post "Videl/ChiChi faceless" pic posts which were just.... Well weird with no real value beyond some weird fetish. Lol

The next rule change revolves around videos aka rule 7, specifically a member who is currently posting their videos of fighting/other scenes from the anime which may not spark much discussion but at least show scenes of interest from the anime which are both entertaining but also from the franchise itself and not altered/parody/meme videos so they are permitted as part of the official franchise releases and not just altered fan made material.

There are also community bookmarks featuring community and informative threads for your easy access/reference when desired.

We also have the member count being shown as well as a section where you can play classic/old DB games from the SNES/GBA era in your browser both on PC and your smart device.

All of these accessible through the "About" (Browser and app) and "Menu" (App only) tabs.

So before I start explaining my theory/logic I want to preface this post by saying I dont want an exact retelling of the Evil Shenron/Shadow Dragons arc in GT... This theory is strictly about combining modern day DB and the original series' wishes and dragon behavior that to me, signify a true corruption of Shenron that could usher in a canon version of that story some day. Whether it would include some of the dragons from GT like Syn/Omega and Nuova, or a whole new group or maybe even just one evil/corrupt dragon, I'm not discussing that. This is just my thoughts and theory about how Shenron is becoming corrupted in various ways.

• Overall Villainous Use

Between Piccolo Daimao using him to get his youth back then immediately being destroyed (only time in DB history) by him has to have left a massively negative impact on the Earth DBs and Shenron himself regardless of being recreated since.

You also have the wish in DBS to revive Freeza, a soul in hell that died over a decade ago yet hasn't been stripped of his identity, cleansed and reincarnated like every other evil soul has in history because he's that stubborn and, well, evil.... A wish granted with very evil implications has to have added to negative energy and corruption imo.

• Bulma's misuse

In DBS specifically Bulma admitted to using the DBs multiple times to wish to be a lil younger here and there and well, extenuating her.... features. All to stay young and firm. Not evil by any means, but not exactly noble or selfless use. The selfish intent of these wishes could build negative energy.

• Shenron granting special privileges for return "customers"

This is where it gets a little tricky, not only because it's from Daima, a work Toriyama heavily contributed to but is seen as non canon because it doesn't tie into Super properly, but also because Shenron isn't purposely being bad/evil/negative here, in fact quite the opposite.

However good intentions are not always met with positive results in the long term so I feel like the gang are corrupting him by being the ones to always summon him 99% of the time. Shenron has grown fond of them, even if it's by intervention from his creator Dende imbuing him with that stipulation, it still implies he gives special favors/privileges to repeat users, which therefore implies bias and preference from a divine being that according to Namekian lore is not meant to be used again and again, only for special occasions and rituals to honor warriors and occasional revivals and so on.

Shenron/Dragons are largely meant to be impartial thus I could see how this judgement even from Shenron himself could cause negative energy build up from biased treatment.

• Giving Piccolo extra power

Just like above, Shenron had good intentions here, nothing malicious or negative at all. Piccolo is half Kami who originally gave Shenron life after all. Piccolo has also grown into a noble warrior Namekian in his own right, so it fits in with the original lore about the dragons being used in rituals to honor noble warriors. However, the "little extra" part implies again, biased behavior, which while intentions were good, is as Toriyama once said about Goku's character, poison slipping in... Negative energy build up.

• Conclusion

That is mainly why I see a potential corruption of Shenron that could usher in a story arc that is a very similar retelling of the GT concept in general.

I can see many of you disagreeing and pointing out things that you think disqualify some of my points, but I also know many many fans who have already theorized this concept based on Bulma's DBS misuse alone much less what else I've pointed out.

Not saying this WILL happen, they may never touch it and it will never be addressed as a plot point, but I could see it being a very real possibility, even if in a post DBS manga from Toyotaro for the IP.

I'd give him a decent middle of the road rating of 5.5/10

I'm not a Raditz hater but I'm also not a super fan. I think he served his purpose and wasn't meant for great things just because he shares Goku's DNA.

Edit: Ki AND Magic Weapons

I like the concept of ki/magic weapons and how they have different properties (slicing, blunt force, exploding) like beams and blasts do. I hope we keep seeing more as time goes on.

I'd like to see a really unique one someday that has some crazy properties other ki blasts don't already have.
