36 F4M Sydney/Western Sydney

Hey 😊 thought I’d put myself out there.

I’m a little shy/reserved when I first meet someone, but once I’m comfortable I’m pretty easygoing, warm and love a good laugh. I enjoy good food, movies, exploring new places and spending time with friends and family.

I’m 160cm, curvy, with dark hair and brown eyes. I’ve recently finished my degree and I’m working towards building a career in the mental health field, so I’m excited to see what this next chapter brings.

I’d really like to meet someone I genuinely connect with and hopefully build a serious relationship. I’m also open to a good friendship and seeing where things naturally go. I’m not really looking for anything casual.

Feel free to say hi 😊

Honours Advice

Hi everyone,

I'm almost finished with my Bachelor of Psychological (online) and I'm hoping to do honours next year. I know Western Sydney University doesn't offer the honours year online. Currently trying to decide whether to stay at WSU and study on campus, or apply for an online honours program elsewhere.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has completed or is currently doing psychology honours at Western Sydney University. How have you found the on-campus experience? Was it worth being on campus, particularly for supervision, research support, networking, and getting to know your cohort?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks!

Driver reversed into my car and now I’m being blamed

Back in April on a Sunday morning, I went to a shopping centre to buy a gift for my friend’s hens night. It’s a multi-level car park and I arrived a little early so I could quickly do a Woolies/Kmart run before most stores opened at 10am. The car park was quiet.

I was driving on the level closest to Kmart and there was a car stopped in front of me. I couldn’t see why they had stopped, so I patiently waited behind them and remained stationary.

All of a sudden their reverse lights came on and they reversed into my car. As soon as I saw the reverse lights I beeped in an attempt to stop them, but there wasn’t enough time.

After impact, the driver immediately pulled over to the side, got out apologising and said words to the effect of: “I admit, I didn’t check before I reversed.” She had children in the car so don't know if she was distracted.

What has added to my confusion is that I still do not understand why she had stopped in the first place or why she then decided to reverse. We exchanged details but she seemed in a hurry to leave and drove off shortly afterwards. At the time I didn’t think much of this because she had apologised, admitted not checking and the damage appeared superficial.

My damage is to the front driver-side bumper. Her vehicle had a tow bar and appeared to have little to no visible damage.

Because the damage looked mostly superficial and I’m hoping to change this car next year anyway, I decided not to pursue insurance.

About a week later I received a letter from her insurer stating that I was at fault.

I contacted her insurer for clarification but was told they had a significant backlog and responses could take 6–8 weeks.

I then went back and checked the details we exchanged and realised that although I had taken a photo of her digital licence, the residential address was not visible in the image (I know I should have checked before leaving).

I’ve spoken to my insurer who advised that because I do not have the other driver’s address, I may have to pay a $1000 excess despite having her name, licence details and registration.

There’s no CCTV (I already checked) and there were no witnesses.

Also unfortunately I don’t have a dashcam.

I don’t even know if I’m after advice as much as wanting to know if anyone else has had something similar happen. Honestly I’m frustrated because I knew fault could later become disputed but I gave her the benefit of the doubt at the time because she was apologetic and I felt bad seeing she had kids in the car. So being blamed afterwards was upsetting.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Especially where the other driver was identifiable but insurance still pushed back because of missing details, or where fault became disputed afterwards?

Not looking for legal advice, just trying to understand whether this is more common than I realised and if there’s anything else I should be doing.

I’m completely stuck on what to get my brother for his birthday (33) — please help 😭

I’m honestly running out of ideas and time, so hoping Reddit can save me.

My brother is turning 33 in about 9 days. He’s a lawyer, super busy, and the kind of person who just buys himself whatever he wants. So gift shopping is a nightmare.

He used to be really into PlayStation, and I’ve bought him consoles/games in the past, but he barely plays anymore now that life is hectic. These days, the main constant in his life is the gym and he goes religiously.

I’m a full-time uni student, so my budget is around $200–$300, and I really don’t want to get something boring, generic, or that’ll just sit there collecting dust. He’s also pretty minimalist, so clutter is a no-go.

Basically looking for something thats thoughtful but not over the top and actually useful or enjoyable

Any ideas for a hard-to-shop-for, gym-obsessed, busy 33-year-old would be massively appreciated. I’m desperate at this point 😅
Thanks in advance!
