Picked up this grill from the sidewalk. Needed a new ignitor and a tray. I polished the top and it looks OK. But the bottom black area looks very faded. When i wet it with water it looks great (black area). When its dry it looks like the faded grey parts.

Any recommendations on how to keep it looking like the black areas?

VOLUME UP . Piston is working fine until brake line is attached. Thoughts?

Any ideas why this isnt draining?

Edit: bleeder valve is open. Had some flow earlier now i have nothing at all. Almost seems like the plunger isnt able to go into the cylinder all the way but when i take the cap off the reservoir the fluid squirts out. This brake is the last mechanical thing i need to do to the bike to get it on the road…

Im restoring a 1982 harley fxs that i was just about to get road ready. Just needed to put the front tire on. Then suddenly the chain seized and oil started sputtering out of the hose shown in the picture. (Crank case i believe) That hose is connected to where the light on the second picture points to. I can confirm the oil is from the oil i had put into the primary.

Any ideas? I wanted to try here for a baseline diagnosis before i rip the bike apart. Any thoughts whatsoever is helpful.

Sup guys - finally got my 82 super glide running after it sat for 25 years.

So far:
Cleaned carb
Fixed timing
New battery
Changed all fluids

The chain is not on / the tires are dry rotted and the back wheel is off the axle. I havent touched the primary / anything else from the above listed. What would your next steps be to get this thing one step closer to being on the road?

This is where my idle screw is fully seated. It cannot turn any more than this. Whats going on here? The spring is not engaged whatsoever and now the bike is not starting. I know that the screw should almost certainly be pushed further in

Ive been posting a lot in here the past couple of days and everyone has been very helpful. If im asking too many questions tell me to fuck off. But i have many about the following video -

I changed the oil, put new gasoline in with sea foam, changed the spark plugs and put in a new battery. The motor turns over so it is not seized.

The battery is a YTX20HL-BS 310 CCA Maintenance-Free 12V 19Ah. I am now realizing this may be underpowered. When i try to electric start it it gives a “click” noise. Is the battery underpowered? What does the click mean?

Im not sure what the hose at the bottom of the nipple on the gas tank is for. Each gas tank has one of these so i first assumed its for connecting the two but theres another nipple that the two connect at the top. The tube in the video is constantly leaking gas and theres only about 1gallon in the tank. What does this mean?

Now the elephant- the oil pressure light is on.. sometimes. It goes on and off. Maybe a battery thing? No idea

Not sure what my next steps should be. No luck with the kickstarter either. Any suggestions to get this beautiful piece of shit running would be appreciated.

I had posted in here yesterday and replaced spark plugs, drained old oil (all over my driveway), put new oil in and oiled the cylinders. Only thing i didnt do is compression test which i will do later today. There is no battery or fuel in it. When i try to kickstart i gives a slight cough then sounds like air is blowing out. I don’t want to continue kickstarting as ive done it probably 5 times and feel as though im fucking it up. Thoughts/ next steps?? Anything is appreciated - complete noobie

Somehow came into this bike. Not sure if i want to keep it and work on it or not. Have no information about it. Anyone able to help me out? Vin and engine number are pictured. The vin is basically illegible.
