The universe doesn't care about your "purpose."

Everyone is running around trying to find their "purpose." They want to know why they were born, what they're meant to do, and what their legacy will be. But the universe doesn't have a plan for you. There is no cosmic destiny waiting for you to fulfill.

We are just conscious beings on a floating rock, trying to make sense of a meaningless existence. The sooner you accept that there is no purpose, the freer you become. You stop chasing a script that was never written and start living your life on your own terms. There is no grand design. There is only the absurdity of existence, and the peace of accepting it.

"You're so mature for your age" was never a compliment.

Every time I heard "you're so mature for your age" as a kid, I thought it was a compliment. Now I realize it was a red flag. I wasn't mature; I was parentified. I was forced to grow up too fast because my parents couldn't handle their own emotions.

I learned to read the room, manage their moods, and suppress my own needs to keep the peace. That's not maturity; that's survival. Now I'm an adult who struggles to ask for help, feels guilty for having needs, and panics when things are too calm. If you were "mature for your age," you were probably just a kid who wasn't allowed to be a kid. I'm sorry you had to grow up so fast.

The "what if your child cures cancer" argument is a cope.

Every pro-natalist uses the same argument: "What if your child grows up to cure cancer or solve climate change?" It's a fantasy. The odds of your child being the next Einstein are infinitesimally small. The odds of your child experiencing depression, anxiety, debt, heartbreak, and existential dread are astronomically high.

You're not gambling on a genius. You're gambling on a human being who will experience the full spectrum of suffering that life has to offer. And you're doing it for what? To feel like you've contributed something to the world? That's not altruism; that's ego. The world doesn't need more people. It needs fewer suffering people. Stop using hypothetical achievements to justify the very real suffering of a conscious being.

The "you'll change your mind" narrative is just projection.

Every time I tell someone I don't want kids, they hit me with "you'll change your mind when you're older." It's not an argument; it's a dismissal. They're projecting their own choices onto me because they can't fathom that someone might genuinely not want the life they chose.

Here's the thing: even if I did change my mind, that doesn't make the decision to have kids right. It just means I'd be making a different choice. The fact that people can't accept a simple "no" says more about their own insecurities than it does about my decision.

I'm 20 years old. I know what I want. I don't want the stress, the financial burden, and the responsibility of raising a human being. And I'm tired of being treated like I don't know my own mind just because I don't want what society tells me I should want.

The "I did my best" excuse is a cop-out.

Every time I try to bring up how my parents' behavior affected me, I get the same response: "I did my best." It's the ultimate conversation ender. It means they don't have to take accountability, and I'm supposed to just accept the trauma because they "tried."

But did they? Did they try to understand me? Did they try to listen without judgment? Did they try to heal their own trauma before passing it down? No. They just did what was easiest for them and called it "their best."

"I did my best" is what you say when you know you messed up but don't want to apologize. It's a shield against accountability. You don't get a medal for keeping a child alive. You don't get to use "trying" as an excuse for the damage you caused. I'm tired of accepting their bare minimum as a valid excuse for my pain. Does anyone else get this line from their parents?

I've slept with almost 10 women and I'm finally admitting I'm tired of pretending.

I need to get this off my chest. I've been with women—not a lot, less than 10—but enough to know the routine. I know how to play the part. And I am so, so tired of it.

For the longest time, I've had a secret obsession with feminine boys. I would scroll through subreddits and just watch from a distance. I told myself it was just curiosity. But it's not.

Here's the thing: I love femininity. I love the energy, the softness, the vibe. But it's the package it comes in that makes it hit different. Put it this way—I love femininity when it's paired with a man. I like the joystick. There, I said it.

I know some of you might think I'm joking or just curious. I'm not. I've done my research. I've spent hours reading, watching, trying to understand this side of myself. I've just never actually tried it out. But I'm trying. I'm trying to figure out how to stop pretending and actually live my truth.

Has anyone else been through this? How did you finally stop pretending?

The "retirement plan" mentality is the most selfish reason to have kids

Let's be honest. A lot of people don't have kids because they genuinely want to nurture a human being. They have kids because they need someone to take care of them when they're old. It's a Ponzi scheme. You raise a kid in a broken economy, emotionally manipulate them, and then expect them to fund your retirement in their 20s and 30s while they're also struggling.

As an antinatalist, I just see it as pure exploitation. If the only reason you're bringing a life into this world is so that someone can wash your feet when you're 80, you're doing it wrong. The bloodline dies with me. No debt, no trauma, no forced obligation. I know I'll get called "selfish" for this, but I'd rather be selfish than bring a whole human being into this mess just to be my servant.

Gender reveals and baby showers are the peak of societal narcissism.

Why are we celebrating the fact that someone had unprotected sex and decided to keep it? Gender reveals are just an excuse for attention, gifts, and Instagram likes. The kid isn't even born yet, and they're already being used as a prop for social media clout. We're bringing kids into a broken world for the aesthetic. It's not about the child; it's about the parents' ego. It's the ultimate act of selfishness to drag a conscious being into this mess just so you can have a party and post a video. There is no ethical way to gamble with someone else's life for your own validation. I'm opting out of this circus entirely. Let the bloodline end with me.

A degree in Kenya is just an expensive piece of paper.

We spend our entire childhood in a broken education system, go into debt for a university degree, and for what? To join a job market where nepotism is king and a degree is the bare minimum. We are the most educated generation in Kenya, and we are the most unemployed.

We are told to "upskill" and "hustle," but the structural rot is undeniable. You apply for entry-level jobs and they ask for 5 years of experience. You network, you volunteer, you grind, and at the end of the month, you still can't afford a decent place to live.

I'm planning my exit to the UK for my degree because the return on investment here is a joke. I'm not loyal to a system that has no space for me. We were promised that education was the key to success, but the door is locked from the inside
