I’m visiting next week and won’t have much time to get out of the city, but I’m from NYC, so I love urban birding in city green spaces! I also know that not are parks are created equal; some have native plants and water sources that attract migrants (especially in the spring and fall), and some just give you run-of-the-mill pigeons and sparrows.

What parks in Seoul should I hit up to see some interesting birds? I’m staying near Hoegi station.

If you had an unlimited budget, what would you use to create a dream space for pumping and breastfeeding, out and about or at work? What standard things (like the chair) would you upgrade? What big-ticket items would you add? What ambience do you want?

I’m thinking about this because I recently used the lactation space at the American Museum of Natural History and it left a lot to be desired. I’m so glad they had one, but for the amount of families and babies going through there, I was expecting at least, like, a side table next to the chair?

One thing I’d love is a room with decor themed to the place I’m at! Like the AMNH could have images or dioramas of how animal species have fed their young throughout time … that would be amazing. (And also a side table.)

This afternoon, June 18, I made the very wise decision to purchase a gigantic copy of the book If You Give A Mouse A Cookie at Book Culture while on an outing with my baby. It barely fit underneath my stroller, but I thought I had wedged in there pretty good.

Unfortunately, somewhere between University Hardware, Blue Bottle, and 120th/Amsterdam, it fell out of my stroller. Idk how I missed it? I’m tired lol.

If anyone finds it, please DM me. It’s kind of hard to miss. And if you decide to steal it, all I ask is that you read it to a baby. (If you read a giant book to a baby, they’re gonna ask you where you got it….)

Tale as old as time in NYC. The apartment across the hall AND the two below me have a (supposedly) mild issue, i.e. a few live bugs found in one bedroom in each apartment.

A dog came and sniffed last week, and no signs of anything in my apartment so far.

But, I know things can go sideways fast(ish). What are some simple things I can do to hopefully avoid the bugs or catch them when they come?
