And then we found this veiny, triumphant bastard hiding deep within the plant 😅

Am I wrong for being upset by this?

My husband took me out to dinner for an early birthday treat and asked his mother to come over and watch our girls. She's our main grandmother babysitting option where we live and we've never had any issues.

We left around 5pm and came back a little after 730pm. We were taking bets on which kid would be asleep but when we walked into the house, both girls were up, watching television and videos on grandma's phone, a half hour past their bedtime.

Grandma knows when their bedtime is. She also knows we turn televisions and screens off at 5pm in our house. She's put the girls to bed many many times at this point, I didn't feel the need to give her any instructions tonight and yet maybe I should have.

Oh, and the real kicker: our 20 month old had a diaper full of shit that she had clearly been sitting in for HOURS. I had to scrub that poor baby's bottom and she told me it hurt later when I put her to bed 😭

It took a long time to wind them down for bed and I feel so bad for my tot who went that long with a load in her diaper.

Ugh.

I'm mad. And frustrated and now worried about future Grandma babysitting experiences.

My husband seemed more in shock/disbelief than anything else. I already know he will never let her know about the dirty diaper and screen time. He's a total Mama's boy through and through and I really just wish my mom and dad lived here.

I needed to get that off my chest. Feel free to share other MIL disappointment stories

What happened to GenX?

When MAGA is discussed, it's usually focused on Boomers and GenZ manosphere bros but GenX is continuously glossed over like they aren't the second largest MAGA demographic in America.

I see more GenX MAGAts than Boomers atp. What happened to y'all? I cant imagine growing up at the birth of technology and remaining so ignorant and hateful and scared of people that are different from themselves.

Adding this before the cranky GenXers complain about sweeping generalizations: YEAH, this obviously doesn't apply to all of you.

But sorry, the average MAGAt is a 45-60 year old divorced Dad.

What happened?
