I’m planning a surprise baby shower for someone very close to me and I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing 😂 I don’t have kids myself, so I’d really love some advice.

I do know that they already have most of the big things like a crib, stroller, car seat, baby carrier, bouncer, clothes, blankets, books, bath stuff and toys. So I’m wondering if there’s anything else that you found genuinely useful, or if I should just put together a nice gift basket with smaller things.

But honestly, I’m even more interested in gifts for the mom. It feels like everything is always about the baby, and I’d really love to give her something that makes her feel cared for too.

What did you receive as a new mom that you loved? Or is there something you wish someone had given you?

I’d love to hear what baby shower gifts you’ve received (or wish you’d received) that were genuinely useful, thoughtful, or memorable, especially things beyond the usual baby clothes, blankets, toys, etc.

But my biggest question is: what can I get for the mom herself? So much of what you buy is for the baby, and I’d really love to give her something that makes her feel cared for and appreciated too. Something practical, comforting, sentimental, luxurious, anything you genuinely loved receiving as a new mom.

What did you appreciate the most?

Jag jobbar med mekaniken (4:e upplagan) och vet inte hur jag ska lösa vissa uppgifter. I boken finns facit men där står det bara svar och det hjälper inte för jag behöver förklaring på hur de fick fram svaret😭 Jag hittar inte online någon bok som har massa lösningar så undrar ifall någon av er vet en annan källa som kanske har det?
