Gabapentin seems to be helping with head pressure, nerve pain, and migraines.

My neurologist prescribed me liquid Gabapentin due to pretty much constant migraines and nerve pain since last December. I still suspect that particular infection was a COVID reinfection, despite the negative test at the ER. My health worsened since that infection.

The Gabapentin seems to have mildly lowered the head pressure I've had since the COVID infection in November 2023. It has also mildly lowered my migraine, nerve pain, and soreness in the rest of my body. My tinnitus also has been moderately decreased. Anxiety (I've had generalized anxiety disorder even before COVID, so the anxiety may or may not actually be from the LC) has moderately decreased.

Side effects... My brain fog seems a tiny bit worse, I'm a bit more disoriented, and my memory is worse. These are definitely related to the drug, but the benefits seems to out weigh it.

I'm currently on around 15mg of Gabapentin, and started at 5mg. I'm very sensitive to any drugs that potentially have psychiatric effects hence the low dose.

Microsoft releasing more remapping options for CoPilot button soon.

It seems someone at Microsoft has heard about the accessibility issues that comes with having a CoPilot key instead of a right CTRL, and at least in this article it promises a new remapping feature will be added in a future update.

However I was not able to find a date on when this article was written on Microsoft's website.

VirtualBox Host Key on Lenovo laptop.

Anyone use VirtualBox on their Lenovo laptop with the Co-Pilot key instead of right CTRL? What are you using for your host key? I'm coming from a Lenovo laptop that still had a right CTRL key, and this missing right CTRL is being more problematic than I realized.

I can't believe I'm paying over $2000 for a laptop and have to put up with compatibility issues like this. Not to mention missing the right CTRL key is a huge accessibility issue for people with certain mobility issues, since it cuts out one handed keyboard short cuts for so many things.

Can Lenovo release an update that turns Fn + Copilot key to right CTRL?

The Copilot button on my new laptop is annoying the heck out of me, coming from a previous laptop that had a regular layout with the right CTRL button. I keep accidentally pressing it, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. After looking around it seems every work around people have found can be a bit buggy. I know Microsoft is shoving and forcing this button on every single manufacturer right now, but I think Lenovo and other companies should have some method of mapping it back, maybe switch the function back with Fn Lock, make a separate Right CTRL Lock, or maybe as a BIOS option.

Have you ever been paranoid of you being blamed for a crime due to your shedding skin?

Have any of you been paranoid that the shedding skin from your eczema will get you blamed for a crime you didn't commit?

Let's say you were at the wrong place at the wrong time, and a crime was committed, but the criminals took a ton of precautions to prevent their bodily materials and DNA from getting left at the crime scene. However you with your eczema shedding a ton of skin flakes constantly end up dropping a lot of DNA evidence at a crime scene you just happened to be at the wrong place and wrong time.

I occasionally wonder and get paranoid.

A bit disappointed the Thinkpad T16 Gen 5 doesn't offer the 4K IPS display.

The Thinkpad T16 Gen 5 finally released in the US, and I took a look at it because I'm kind of interested in these consumer repairable laptops. All the IPS options are FHD which is a pretty low resolution these days. They really should offer the 4K IPS display that they offer on the T1g, T16g, P1, and P16. A consumer repairable laptop with a 4K display would be very cool.

Is Framework 16 ever going to get a better monitor?

Seeing how some Lenovo Thinkpads are already getting 800 nits 4K IPS monitors displays, it seems the Framework 16 monitor display is a bit out of date in regards to resolution and 500 nits brightness (which is a pain if you ever use your laptop outside).

I have a Lenovo laptop purchased at a Costco in California in November 2023. It is pretty clear it's a lemon at this point. The miniLED panel on this thing has a life-span of around 6-8 months before it develops pink/purple tinted stripes all over it. Lenovo has already swapped the panel twice now (and their customer service isn't all that good), and right now I'm on the 3rd failure of this panel. I purchased extended warranty from Lenovo when this flaw became apparent, so this laptop is within the extended warranty at the moment.

I really wanted to make this laptop work, but it's pretty clear at this point there is a design defect and Lenovo is not able to repair this device properly. I was wondering if Costco sometimes might make exceptions to the 90 day return period? Anyone have any experience?

Of course I'd contact Lenovo first, but considering the resistance they gave me when I tried to ask for a replacement on the 2nd repair, I suspect they might not be so easy going.

I'm current on the 3rd mini-LED panel failure on my laptop, and it is failing in the exact same way as the first 2 times. At this point, I'm going to assume Lenovo's mini-LED panel has a design defect that can not be repaired.

First failure was in 2024, after around 8 months of use. Pink tinted stripes and patches developed on the monitor. It took Lenovo 4 repairs, 2 on-site (Hemmersbach), and 2 depot repairs (CSAT Solutions) to get the monitor swapped, and they managed lose the internal OEM SSD on the 3rd repair and started to get shady in their communications. I had no laptop for a month.

8 months later, the monitor failed in the exact same way. The on-site tech (Hemmersbach) replaced the monitor without much issue this time around.

6 months now, I can see the beginnings of the monitor failing the same way again, although it's not bad enough that it shows up on pictures of it very well, however in 1-2 months, the monitor will look horrible again.

From my research California's Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act protects consumers on electronics like this above $100. However, I suspect Lenovo will give me grief and want to just swap the monitor again.

Has anyone gotten their laptop actually replaced under consumer protection laws? This is clearly a design defect that can't to repaired by Lenovo considering it's now failed the same way for a 3rd time. I purchased extra warranty on this device it became evident the monitor has an 8 months life-span. I still have over a year left.
