The Weakness Policy is THE cheese item

The amount of times In SV VGC where i had to fight someone side flip turning/self u-turning their armarouge to activate weak armor and then the weakness policy for an indeedee boosted expanding force was too great. Even though this start is basically the oldest trick in the book, I fell for it more times than I would like to admit.

Those teams were kinda the predecessor to the “protect the king” mega staraptor team where the teams falls apart once you take out their king.

There’s a reason why this pokemon is the only gen 6 non legendary mega still not in the game, This pokemon is genuinely the boogeyman with its versatility, abilities and movepool, but since champions has the tendency to nerf powerful pokemon (e.g. Annihilape and Gholdengo) how will they nerf the big mence?

If i had to guess, they’ll probably get rid of double edge from its move pool, if they thought having double edge on MF Mega Pinsir was bad, there’s no NO WAY IN HELL mence is is keeping that move. Alternatively, I can also see them removing tailwind, this one is more far fetched but not out of the question considering they removed tailwind from zard.

i’m mainly looking for a shiny zygarde, shiny melmetal or any of the shiny mythicals from the home dex completion rewards and willing to offer multiple shalphas for one but if anyone has any good offers, the. i’m always up for trading

I wish my favorite pokemon was in champions, too bad it can never be in the game because it isn't fully evolved

I will say alot of these pokemon will definitely function a lot doff due to the pokemon / mechanics we have now. Dozo w/o tera seems to be managable but i do not want to have the pleasure of facing dondozo stall teams in vgc.

Even thought I like indeedee female, it might just be better for it to remain out of the game for now but it’ll most likely come back cause terrain setters will be introduced this regulation. I just hope they take trick room off of its movepool.

One last thing to note is that this format’s first tournament will be worlds. Idk why they keep having a regulation’s first tournament be worlds of all tournaments. Anyways who’s ready to see mega mence win another chip

EDIT: Gastro, Weezing and Ursaking can come back and amongus would just be a facepalm.

I remember playing a 50 turn vgc game featuring a dondozo on the toilet and it was genuinely one of the most miserable thing anyone could experience imo. Though most of dondozo’s annoyance came from tera so maybe it won’t be too bad this time around.

The event is cloned btw, i’m not looking for anything in particular but if i had to choose one thing, probably the dex completion shiny mythicals.

Every time I fight someone and they’re on anonymous mode, they’re always so insane at the game 😭

But typically only really pro player/streamers run the game as anonymous.

story time:

So I was trading in the r/pokemon discord server. That server has known scammers but most of the time, i like to give people benefit of the doubt.

So I was willing to trade 10 shiny alpha pokemon (ones that i caught, including a charizard that I used in Z-A ranked battles) for a pogo stamp shiny mew (that may not be a fair trade on my end but I tried to make it as fair as i could since im trying to collect the pogo stamp shiny mythicals)

Some guy dms me and he has proof of having a shiny mew with a pogo stamp and In thinking to myself “ok he has proof of one so that’s a start” so i’m willing to trade 10 shiny alpha pokemon from z-a that I caught for that one mew. (I was even willing to trade more if I had to)

I ended up trading 9 shalphas because he ran out of friend trades, but the 9th trade was for the new, and when i got it, it was from sword and shield and it’s level 100 so Im like 90% sure it’s genned

I asked him where is the pogo stamp and he tries to play dumb saying it’s mark by the shiny icon (btw you can gen pokemon with that go icon) and after show him what I meant by the pogo stamp, he just stops responding to me.

I later found out the guy I traded with made an alt account because he got banned i think on his last account iirc.

Just kinda sucks how the one place i can actually trade mons (I don’t trade in this sub often cause most people ask for pogo stamp mons, which i don’t have nevause i don’t play pogo and the pogo stamp mons i do have, i’m not willing to trade them) and the place is filled with scammers

At this point, there’s barely an incentive to trade with people anymore unfortunately. (was my fault i got scammed tho)

These are all shiny alpha pokemon that I had in my legends Z-A game. I caught all of these myself annd have my OT name except for the charizard which I got from a trade.

Im not looking for anything in particular, just something worthwhile.

I see everyone talk about the rarest shiny pokemon but i rarely ever see anyone talk about the rarest speciea, sure a gen 4 honey tree shiny munchlax is very rare to get but you literally get a free handout of one in another game.

I wonder what pokemon species is the rarest when it comes to shininess.

this thing is actually one of the most frustrating pocket monsters to fight against, and the people who run it always runs the most annoying mons too (vivillon, blastois, etc)

For reference, in pokémon champions, there are no ribbons in the game, if your pokemon got a win in master ball tier, it would gain a title but not a ribbon, even though a ribbon for hitting master ball tier already exists.

I think ribbons will be added to the game eventually to correspond with said titles you get in the game. Even though your pokémon can have the ”champion-tiered“ title, it‘ll get the corresponding ribbon in pokemon home for example.

For context:

The first player has the arena master title, which is rewarded for winning 500 ranked battles so this player has 500 wins at least. On top of that, they have the double battle master badge, which means they have won 100+ double battles without fainting (The second player also was rocking the title for it)

For reference. i’d say I play this game a bit more compared to the average player and I only have 200+ wins. Having 500 is very impressive.

So recently I found out that event pokemon can have incorrect credentials so i’m making this post to alert people to look out for genned events. Imo, a cloned pokemon and a genned pokemon are totally different things.

A cloned pokemon is a pokemon that s self explanatory. It’s a pokemon that’s 1:1 with the original event mon. Most deem it legit plus it’s a way to distribute non hacked event pokemon for people who aren’t able to get said events (the diancie is cloned)

A genned pokemon is a pokemon that was generated through external methods (usually by a some website. The pokemon on paper my seem legit but there are a various of issue with them that aren’t noticeable on a surface level. Stuff like no home trackers or in this case, the date of the event mon being incorrect (the articuno is genned)

The biggest way to tell if a pokemon is genned is by the date it was obtained. Event dex on serebii typically has a listing on all the event dates of said pokemon (the only exceptions are gen 4/5 event pokemon via the dns exploit or the ds/3ds clock being incorrect at times)

With the articuno, it says it was obtained in 2024 while the event for it took place in 2022, indicating thats it’s genned, while diancie is correct as it was a japanese event and the date obtained matches the timeframe. The date typically the biggest indicator to tell whether an event mon is legit or not. There are other methods too but I won’t go over them simply because most other people don’t have access to said methods.
