I put this in the puddle method and it was completely dry when I checked it this morning other than some humidity on the top of the lid. Does it look bad?
Also I peeled the top of it a few days ago and it just looks weird to me.
I got a VERY expensive corm that I’ve been saving up for and it started looking slimy so I did a physan 20 soak and changed the fluval stratum. A few days later and it’s looking slightly moldy and has a slight musty moldy smell to it. It’s still firm.
WHAT DO I DO?! I’m scared to peel it as I don’t want to introduce bacteria further. Do I just leave it and pray lol?
Does anyone use rooting hormone or fertilizer in the puddle method, with risers, self watering fluval stratum setups, or to mist their moss they from corms in?
I saw a video where a lady used rapid start in the reservoir that she puts corm risers over, and am wondering who else may be giving their corms a boost this way?
I bought a stunning PBV and decided to upsize her pot because she was crunched and the self watering setup wasn’t working well with the pot size she was in. When I moved her, I noticed she had 11 small corms growing!! Will me moving her mess up their growth? How long before I should go corm hunting? (How long do they take to mature?)
I have the Govee humidifier and thermometer connected to WiFi and Bluetooth and have autorun set up to keep my humidity in my plant cabinet between 75-85% Humididty. The humidifier constantly runs well past 85%, and I keep having to turn it off manually. It’s paired up, on a 2.4GHz network. I don’t understand why it isn’t working but it’s making me mad. What might I be doing wrong?
I was pretty sure I have my humidifier and thermohygrometer connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi, but it won’t let me access auto run when I’m not home.
Both devices are showing the WiFi symbol, but when I click into settings it’s saying “failed to get WiFi network name”.
I reconnected my phone to the 2.4 WiFi when I got home and it’s showing them both connected to that WiFi now so idk what I’m doing wrong.
I thought I had my humidifier settings dialed in but last night, when the temp of my cabinet started dropping, the humidity rose to 95% all night 💀even though the humidifier HADN’T turned on all afternoon. The photo is just the starting point, humidity rose to 95 and temps dropped to 63
I have it set to maintain humidity between 75-85% until 5PM to buffer, then once the cabinet starts dropping temperature when the lights go off I have it set to not turn on unless humidity dips below 65%(trying to account for cooler night temps)
Why did the humidity get so high last night after the lights went out 30 mins prior? What can I do to avoid this crazy humidity swing?
I’m struggling to keep my temperature in my cabinet over 65 degrees. I have my grow lights on 16 hours a day, a seed heat mat on the bottom shelf and the front of the door is weather stripped. What are you doing to keep your cabinet warm?
