please help me make a banh mi or something viet for an old vietnamese man on dialysis

i used chatgpt to generate banh mi ideas for my dad with eskd. the light sauce meant to flavor the banh mi was so vinegary and awful (1 tbsp vinegar, 1 tbsp water, 1/2 tsp sugar, minced garlic), i just tossed it out.

used what i had with cilantro, cucumbers, and eggs seasoned only with garlic powder and black pepper. that cilantro was working so hard to make the dish enjoyable. the banh mi was fucking awful

vietnamese folks or vietnamese food lovers with ckd or eskd, please help me out here. my dad watches tourists in vietnam eating the food he can't have on youtube all day. please let me make this man's day

sadness and trying to figure things out

my dad's had ckd for a bit, not sure what stage it is because he doesn't really talk about it but it's pretty bad. he goes to dialysis three days a week, starting since last year after he became sick to the point of possible death (according to his words, but seeing the way he looked and moved beforehand i believe him). after starting dialysis, he felt significantly better, but now it seems there's a decline again.

he's had constant leg pain and had to take off work the last week or so. he used to feel it here or there, but it just seems to be constant pain. he started feeling nauseous after each dialysis session. he told me he talked to the nurses but they don't seem to be doing much for him.

i just want him to be okay -- i heard that dialysis can help lengthen the lifespan of a person with severe ckd an additional 10 years, and i just want my father to be here with me. i'm in college and i want him there at my graduation and my marriage and whatever. but he just seems to be in pain a lot, and i don't know if he's getting better, whatever getting better looks like. i just want him to be healthy and happy and i want to make more good memories with him.

am i pregnant?

the last time i had intercourse was about a month ago, and i was on opill (more than 48 hours on it), used condoms, and my partner did not ejaculate. i got off opill about two days after intercourse, and suddenly had a huge wave of spotting that i thought was my period -- which couldn't have made sense because i was just on my period like a week beforehand.

it's been a month now, and while chances are ridiculously low with everything that occurred during intercourse, i've been super nervous because i still haven't gotten my period yet. i'm wondering if the spotting could've impacted blood flow for the period, but i don't think it's the same blood, no?

missed period but also had lots of spotting before

i haven't experienced any pregnancy symptoms -- i did wake up one night with terrible nausea, but i had an entire bag of konjac noodles for dinner... i also haven't had any cramps, strange cravings, etc. but i know that cryptic pregnancies are also a thing, so i'm still on my toes.

does anyone have any reassurance, insight, or advice?

hey everyone! so i'm a chinese-viet girl and i've always loved the way i look with tanner skin in the summer! however, i am soooo acne prone, and i noticed that prolonged exposure outside contributes to a lot of my facial acne. is there any advice/tips on caring for my skin while still being able to acheive that tanned look?
