(Beginner) I need help choosing a RIDE

So I'm a student who just started drumming this early 2026 and I need a ride cymbal. I have a basic pearl roadshow kit with the stock hats and 16' crash in a living room setup (I listen to, and would want to learn pop/rock)

Everything here's around ~200-230$ in our market and I need opinions on what I should get and what I can keep for around 2years to how long it breaks or until I get money to buy something better.

  1. Meinl Classics Custom Brilliant/Dark Medium Ride
  2. Istanbul Radiant Ride (I'm sketchy on this cuz I cant find anything about it online and the store only sells it through orders)
  3. Paiste Colorsound 900
  4. Zildjian S or Zildjian S Dark Rides
  5. Meinl Amun Rides

Stuck deciding on a ride

I'm a mid-intermediate player and I'm not from america (so some models might not be available here), and I'm kinda on a mid-low budget and as of these recent weeks I've been looking around the shops in my area and I cant decide whats best to choose, like most bang-for-buck kinda thing.

So here are my options so far

  1. Meinl HCS Ride cymbal

  2. Istanbul Mehmet Radiant Ride cymbal (they dont sell agops )

  3. Zildjian S / S dark Ride cymbal

  4. Zildjian I ride cymbal

  5. Wuhan 457 Ride cymbal

If I can get any opinions, pros-cons, or even what you would prefer from the bunch it will greatly help.

Context: I recently posted a question about buying an evans vs remo drumhead (see profile), so a couple days later I bought a Remo P77 drumhead, It's only been 8 days with me and only a day used in my kit.

I checked it prior to buying it and after installing it to my snare I heard something and checked it and found this. Btw It wasnt super tight like table-top tight probably around 1 and 1/2 full turns after finger-tight.

After inspecting the head I found this (see pic), I dont know of the glue peeled off the mylar or something. Is this fine to play and anyways can't do much about it since the store refund policy stated only after 7 days refund.

Any opinions? Or suggestions? Is it fine to keep playing this, and I might have learned my lesson, might not be buying from Remo again.
