I’m a retained and wholetime firefighter, we are experiencing a huge amount of grassland / wildfires.
It’s quite disheartening to think about the wildlife that gets destroyed but today, I think we saved this little dude.

Whilst damping down an area of, I assume deliberate ignition, I noticed this little guy walking across the burnt area, gave him a little swill and placed in the bushes, it started to wash itself and seemed lively so hopefully a happy outcome!

I’ve recently gotten into Seiko, after having Hamiltons and other similar style watches.
I’ve ended up acquiring 3 turtles, the PADI, SRPE99 and the “Slim turtle”.

I’ve seen the ice dial monster in show rooms and I liked it but there was never a “I want that watch” feeling.

The more I’ve looked into Seiko I’ve stumbled across the orange Gen 1 a few times and it’s always stood out to me, as well as never really seeing any negative reviews about the watch.

I thought I’d have a gander on EBay to see what sort of prices they were going for and stumbled across this one and I think the decision took all of 30 seconds before I’d hit the buy button.

Cannot say how thrilled I am, an awesome watch from 2005 and photos certainly do not do it justice!

Just received my SPb317J1, as you can see, I’m a turtle fan… 🐢

First proper chip on the watch. The irony is I’m a firefighter who wears this watch on shift, how did I get this damage?
Whilst completely sober I walked into a glass door at an all inclusive hotel last night 😂

Thought I’d bring the PADI on holiday, took it for its first swim

Recently got into Seiko, with two Turtles, the PADI Pepsi and SRPE93, I was browsing EBay for some sort of military looking chronograph and stumbled across this.
Awesome looking watch in person and highly legible.

Absolutely love the Turtle… to the point I’ve ended up with 2.

Cannot get enough of this watch to the point I’ve ordered the Pepsi PADI version, unfortunately it came with a large spec of dust under the hardlex so I’m awaiting an exchange.
