As you can imagine this has deeply interested the Garou Nations, spreading hope to many that the war may not be over for them. Yet chaos soon followed as Septs fought over who could claim the Caern as their own then the influx of the wyrm doing all in it's power to destroy and corrupt the Caern of Brightflame. You are a new Garou to the Brightflame region (whether returning or just new to the region) who have been drafted into a constant fight for survival.

Pretty short and mild horror story, all things considered, but I'll be damned if it didn't make me confused to high hell.

Around a year ago, I (a minor) had a pal (also a minor) who played TTRPGs and did systemless 1x1 text RP, while I only did text RP. They wanted to get me into TTRPGs, so they invited me to a PBP game of around 4 people (excluding the GM) to ease me into roleplaying games. I was immediately down, especially because of the system, which was CAIN (A grimdarkish system based on Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, and other things)

I join and introduce myself, mentioning the fact that I'm a minor. Everyone says hi and I go scour the Discord server to read everyone else's intros, where I notice everyone else is an adult (18-25). I don't think too much about this, thinking my friend knows who to trust and who not to, so I talk to everyone they all seem chill and nice. The GM explains the setting and rules (nothing mentioning NSFW, iirc) and then we get to character creation.

I made a nerdy and awkward 15YO Binder (exorcists who can control the cursed spirits of the setting) with an intense passion for horror and the military. Everyone else's characters don't really matter except for our main problem player, the oldest of the group, who played a 30 something year old "femme fatale" she said was heavily inspired by Makima from CSM.

In the RP we did like two mini missions before the incident that I enjoyed a lot, but now looking back on it there were a ton of weird shit I ignored some being
- MPP always describing how tight her clothes were
- MPP would describe how her hips swayed every once and a while
- Another player would constantly talk about how cute my Binder was
Then the incident happened. We were investigating a Sin who was destroying and haunting a small town, which caused MPP and me to investigate where the Sin had recently run off from. The next post I see after mine is, in short her PC
- Taking her shirt off in front of my PC
- Pushing mine to the ground
- Straddling my PC
I immediately asked if this was a joke or something to which all I get in response from her is a "?" and when the GM goes online I tell him about this and they say "It's RP just resist in character if you're feeling uncomfortable." To this, I immediately tell my pal who keeps on making shitty excuses for them and while I'm dming my "pal" MPP responds again with, "Did I get too naughty too fast for you?" After that I blocked everyone involved and just left the server.

To this day, I am just confused on what the thought process behind everyone here was, and glad everyone didn't ruin RP or RPGs for me

Anyhow you may ask "what is the Neo Dark Age" and I'll give a brief explanation: The Neo Dark Age has started already ever since the beginning of 2026, when leaders within the World Of Darkness all agreed to a "semi-truce" with each other and political structures were torn down and built anew under the stress of a mysterious threat, yet even in this time of change things still look the same if not more heated as Kindred, Garou, Hunters, and all those who inhibited the World Of Darkness become more deadset on their goals whether that be the destruction of all others or the maintenance of the status quo. You are fledglings whether in age or status in the heart of NYC yet as you lumber out of your Sunbags you find yourself surrounded by strangers in a pitch black void

Confusing Times

To be apart of the World Of Darkness right now is a confusing task, as the Kindred watch their feudal systems get torn down and rebuilt anew, the Garou come to terms with a world that forces them to temper their rage for the sake of balance, Mages try their best to adapt to the ever increasing demands of their companies, and Hunters are thrust into the darkness with no knowledge having to navigate a strange system of org's looking for anything other than their best interests. All because of the grand alliance

Around 2000 Mage society (or more accurately, the high mage society) found out something so vile, and dangerous that they immediately started to gather around the most influential and powerful of the mundane and darkness and informed them of the coming danger of the ?????? before proposing a truce to survive against the truest forms of evil. And so in secret a truce was formed as the strongest would be appointed soldiers in the incoming battle.

Of course, these are hushed rumors spread by only the missing or insane as an explanation for the many changes the world of darkness has had done too it in recent years, especially to Kindred society as well as the current "Lukewarm War" between all factions as they all try their best to bleed out everyone else without getting into a full scale hot war

The current Camarilla is of House Blackblood as the second oldest heir to House assets, a Salubari and by old standards a Neonate though due to many political moves has been recognized as an elder by many kindred

You are fledglings in status or age, having received strange messages in your personal havens by the heir of Blackblood offering a part of the houses assets or even the Vampiric Court of the domain's assets IF you survive the task given. Most given this note would believe that this is a trap from some Hunter or low level anarch yet for some reason you have chosen to go to the area told in the letter.
