Is the Original R/Dhurandhar Sub totally Over?

While I had no hopes from that sub anymore, I still used to check it out, in hopes that situation there has improved, but no. That sub is now a restricted sub, plus all I See in that sub is just political content, like geniunely, not a single non political post. I am just happy that this new sub was made in time, still, it is a shame to see that old sub die like that. Idk why Dhurandhar has become thier target, sad.

( If this post feels like it is violating rules, then you can immediately tell me, I will take it down, I am not really sure if this post is allowed or not)

Dhurandhar is Somehow the second funniest movie in last 5 years

I used to wonder that how the heck does a person who was assistant director of priyadarshan end up making this banger of a movie, rules dictate that if you have worked with priyadarshan so much, then you might probably end up making comedy movies, then I remembered Jameel Jamali.

Seriously speaking, the only movie which had funnier scenes than Dhurandhar in recent times is Madgoan Express, and the best part is, that comedy in these two movies never over shadows the seriousness of the moment or the emotional depth, it just works in a perfect snyc, every time I watch that introduction scene of Rakesh bedi, I end up laughing, the dialogue and timing is just absolute cinema.

Real Meaning of the title track

Okay, I know many people have decoded it, but bear with me, I am the overthinker final boss

Na De Dil Pardesi Nu

Tenu Nit Da Rona Pai Jau Ga

Na De Dil Pardesi Nu

Tenu Nit Da Rona Pai Jau Ga

Naal Ranje Jogi De Tenu

Jogan Hauna Pai Jau Ga

Main Ishq De Allein Zakhma De

Khud Hasshass Ke Muh Seen Lan Gi

Je Jar Mera Menu Zehar Zehar Zehar

Get Ready! Dhurandhar

(This part is a warning from god to jassi that he is making a mistake, by getting attached to pardesi( Rehman and gang), he is warning him that he has to hurt them and betray them to complete his mission, he is wondering whether jassi will be able to betray them after all, cause this is an equivalent of taking poison, killing and betraying them is going to take a heavy toll on his heart.)

I’m A King But I’m Far From A Saint

They Call Me A Bad Man

That’s A Fucking Good Thing

Mama Said Swing Back When Another Man Swings

So I Make My Mama Proud

And Make The Hits Rain

(This is the start of jassi's reply, he assures God that he does not care about being morally right or wrong, if people call him a monster, then too he wont stop, last time his mother met him, she called him a soldier, so he, as a soldier, is going to do things, that would make his mother proud)

Father Forgive Me

I Can’t Forgive Them

You Know My History

You Know What I Did Then

What I Do Now?

A Whole Lot Worse

Heavy Is The Head

It’s A Blessing And A Curse

(It is the final part of Jassi's reply, He is assuring god that just because he is attached to Rehman and gang, that wont mean he will not kill them, he then reminds him that he used to play with Mla Sukhwinder's Kids, but that did not stop him from killing them, he desires forgiveness in advance for how many people he is about to hurt, knowlingly or Unknowingly after the death of dakait, last time he killed 16, this time he is willing to kill hundred's if the situation needs him to, just because these people behaved nicely to him does not mean he is going to forgive them for attacks like 26/11.)

Need some advice

So, I am planning to write a novel, and will publish it few years later, I am hyper fixated on writing a super hero novel, I know the end and beginning, but I have no idea on how to execute it, the thing is, before this, I had also written a novel, first draft around 35K words. I was satisfied with concept and lore, but I felt that it was too fast paced, and the times I tried to fix pacing, lead to paragraphs of awkard text, any advice on how to tackle this issue, I dont wanna plague the newer novel with the same issue, also, what are common book tropes that I should avoid, like the ones that have been done to death?

Proud to announce that I might Have ended up speedrunning the breaking of rule 3 of r/snydercut

I had heard about the snyderbros being slightly unhinged, but I always assumed that internet probably exaggerated their cult like behaviour, but 3 days ago, just to poke them, I made a post asking them why dont they support rebel moon and stuff If they love snyder so much, that post got under moderator approval, then in matter of few minutes, I was permanently banned and muted from the subreddit, I found it hilarious

What would Have Original Dhurandhar been Like?

It is something that I really wanted to see, As Dhurandhar was originally supposed to be a single movie, what parts were about to be kept and what were about to be cut? It would be so interesting if they release a single movie after 2 or 3 years, where both movies are compiled into a single movie.

I by-mistakenly got spoilers for the ending while I was in starting of the book, and it was just crazy reading experience, knowing the twist and wondering how the hell did the criminal do the crime, and last few pages were intense, the reveal, twist and turns, secrets, everything was just so good, also anymore christie books like this? I have read this, ABC Murders, Murder on the orient express, Murder on the links, Death on the nile till now

Am I alone on this Take

I know that most of the readers agree that Chetan bhagat books are overrated and problematic, but everybody does say that 5 point something is one of his few good works.

I really believe that novels are always better than the movies, so when I learned first about 3 idiots being based upon 5 point something, I got really hyped because I really loved the movie and expected book to be even better, maybe with more mature themes and slightly darker humour, but essentially the same plot.

And when I finished reading it, it was with regret that I realised I had read the first book in my life which was genuinely bad, I hated everything about it, its characters, stupid plot lines, nothing felt like something I would see happening in a college, I mean, it felt as if the iit in the book was Karan' johars dream college, I had a hard time believing that this was the book which inspired 3 idiots. >!In the movie I felt angry at virus, while in the books, the character on which virus was based was genuinely the good guy for me, I mean, if you decide to get drunk in your viva, and then a week later, you decide to sneak into your very proffesor's house to do stuff with his daughter, take his shirt and car so that you can sneak to purchase ciggerates, then again a week later, you end up stealing papers in order to cheat in exams and impress him, and then throw his daughter under the bus to save yourself, then can you genuinely blame the guy for being pissed off at you. !< So is my hate towards to book justified or is it because

a) It was complex and I did not pay req attention( Happened to me with Hunger games)

b)I am biased and hate it due to my love for 3 idiots

Why have Dhurandhar Haters Invaded this sub

Dhurandhar is a movie supposed to be viewed for enjoyment, yes it does dive into political end , but that stuff was too important to ignore for the story it conveys, but every post i see here is just people using Dhurandhar clips and bjp shenanigans to make it seem like the movie was made by Bjp to Justify thier mess ups, why are these idiots so hell bent on treating the movie like a documentary made by bjp for thier propoganda usage. I mean, if you hate the movie, just create a new sub and spew all the hate you want, let the fans of the movie enjoy here in peace

Some help

So, I completed the first draft of my novel few months ago, and I wanna understand my flaws and points of improvement, as i myself feel that the novel lacks something, but i cant point out exactly what, so are there any places where I can post exerpts from my novel, so that a diverse range of readers can help my fix the novel( I can ask ai but i hate the idea of involving ai in my work, and i am unsure if this is the appropiate sub to post unfinished work like this)

The novel is duology with fantasy elements dealing with trauma, nostalgia and acceptance of fate

Name:The secret Hell

Thanks for reading this

Potential Hot take- Dhurandhar 2 is better than 1

Okay, I know that most of people have a opposing view on this and I get it, but honestly I think Dhurandhar 2 was a worthy continuation of dhurandhar 1 and improved in all aspects

The music was goated, the opening chapter was just on a different spectrum, and so was the last chapter...The >!unknown gun men arc, Jameel's real identity, Dawood and his poisoning, chemistry with rizwan, and the whole sacrifice of alam was just too goated for me, I even preffered ranveer's version of sher e baloch ceremony. Many people complain about the ending fight, but I found it very satisfying...That ghante ka Jalladh dialogue, dhamaka dialogue, oil tanker blow up sequence and Akhri Ishq playing when police comes to capture Ranveer. It was everything I wanted from part 2, heck even the training scene was top tier. My only complain was that pinda fight with Destiny in background felt out of place and the whole pinda situation could have been easily avoided had ranveer not conducted the party in his house and stayed with pinda alone in the bathroom !<

So for me The revenge>> Dhurandhar 1

Granny lore till now( to the best of my understanding+Half of it being imaginary+ It is too long, you have been warned)

So, i recently tried to get into the granny lore, and it was a bit confusing for me, so I tried to stich the lore together via things I understood and some assumptions, correct me if I am wrong or missing some parts. From granny onwards, pretty much all of the lore is mostly my imagination.( Please dont bully me, I know many parts of it are stupid and nonsensical, so here it goes)

The granny family used to be normal, grandpa was a war veteran who was deaf, granny had a daughter who I will call Slendrina's mother, who was crazy, she herself had the daughter slendrina, and slendrinda was adored by granny. Slendrina's mother one day poisoned the dinner the family was eating, and it killed them, but while dying, slendrina cursed everybody, which gave the family a kind of twisted immortality, while they were technically dead, thier spirits remained trapped inside thier corpses, which started corrupting them. This made granny snap and she trapped slendrina's mother inside the castle, while Slendrina started haunting places like her old school, asylum and forest, she married nosferatu and gave birth to the granny's grandson. All this time, Slendrina's mother started mutating into spider mom. Then an unamed person one day breaks into the family castle, uncovers the mom chained up and trapped the angry spirit of slendrina into mystical book, which collapses the castle and makes the family flee.

As granny adored slendrina, I assume she returns to the castle, takes the mystical book, then she shifts to the wooden house of granny 1, where she tries to free slendrina, She also takes slendrina's mom with her as a part of some twisted ritual to make slendrina posses her body and the teddy bear as a method to pacify her. In order to feed the curse, granny needs human victims, who she can terrorise and toy around with, so whenever a traveller passes via that road, thier vehicle malfunctions, and when they get out of the vehicle to fix it, Granny hits them with her bat. Granny's first victim was a guy, travelling in his car when his car suddenly stopped, he then came out of the car, and opened the engine and realised that the engine had overheated and he needed water, so in whim, he decided to see if he could find someone, and entered into the forest where he got ambushed by granny. His car was also taken into the house by her and she took apart components from it, scattered them around, heavily locked the front door. Then every night, she allowed the victim to roam around in the house, where he observed her antics, and managed to take apart few locks, and fix some things in the car, but he could not progress further, and had a hard time. He also noticed that while granny is practically blind, her hearing is perfect, she does not posses much brain and would not check a hiding spot, unless she hears a sound or senses player moving. Every night he got caught by granny, he was presumbly tortured by her, and due to this, he started limping, his vision got blurry, and he could no longer sprint, on day 5, when he gets caught, his body is well past his endurance limit, and he could not survive another day of granny's games, so she ends up killing him and locking him in the sewer area, we can still see his skeletons in the game. After this, granny presumbly captured multiple victims and toyed around with them, feeding the curse with thier anxiety and fear. Then finally, we play as the final person captured by her, and we escape from her, which is a first time. But this thing angers granny as she could not believe that the hostage outsmarted her, so she calls grandpa, tracks the player, renders them unconcious once again and then ties the player in the same car which was in the basement. When grandpa comes, she and grandpa take him to the newer fortified house, where they keep thier grand child too. They also kidnap nosferatu and chain him in a wooden shelf. Then they allow him to heal and again toy around with him, while the player is recovering, they try to find methods that allow them to permanently free slendrina from the book, they have managed to weaken the spell on the book which gives some freedom to slendrina, but she is still bound to the book. They then wait for the hostage to wake up so that they could start thier hunting game again. When hostage wakes up again, due to his prior experiance, he manages to outsmart them both and escape. But even this time, he is caught mid escape and granny and grandpa realise that even this much was not enough, so they move with hostage to the house in the third game in the very same car. This time, the hostage's fate is sealed because they lock him in prison, and even when he somehow mananges the break out of it, the house itself is way larger, and grandpa uses his old shotgun, which was exploited by the hostage the last time. Due to it being very open, shotgun gives grandpa a huge advantage. Because the hostage is still sustaining the injuries of the previous two games, he does not manage to get very far, while he makes some progress on the escape route, he is easily caught this time, and succumbs to his injuries even before the five days are up, in the prison itself, we can see his skeleton in the third game. This time, granny and grandpa manage to perform the ritual needed to free slendrina from the book which allows her to roam around the house. Then an unnamed journalist who has heard urban legends about people dissappearing in the locality of house, decides to investigate, and he narrows down the occuring to the house and enters it with his camera, but before he can do much, grandpa shoots him. Then again, the hunting game begins with the protagonist managing to work on the escape route. In the process, by dropping the teddy to the crib, he ends up pacifying slendrina, allowing her to move on from death. When the protagonist finally escapes this time, granny and grandpa again try to track him down to kidnap him, but slendrina puts a stop to this as a favour to the protagonist. Due to no new victims, the dark curse fades away, thus resulting in granny and grandpa finally losing thier immortality.
