Calling all Uber drivers!

Hello everyone, I'm a researcher at the University of Surrey, UK studying how food-delivery platforms are designed — things like how the apps assign jobs, how pay is calculated and displayed, and how the interface shapes the way drivers work.

If you drive for Uber in UK your first-hand perspective on how these systems actually function would be really valuable. It's a relaxed 45-minute online conversation, scheduled whenever suits you.

The aim is for what drivers share to feed into recommendations for the industry and policymakers, so it's a chance to get driver experience of these systems in front of the people who set the rules. I offer £20 Amazon voucher for your time.

If you'd be up for it or want to know more, drop a comment or send me a message.

This study has received a favourable ethical opinion from the University of Surrey Ethics Committee.

Calling all Uber drivers!

I'm a researcher at the University of Surrey looking into the way the ride sharing app is designed: the features that nudge, pressure or steer you into decisions, and whether any of it feels manipulative. Think surge and quests, the accept/decline screen, ratings, deactivation, how pay is shown.

I'm looking to interview Uber drivers, but if you also drive for Bolt or another app, that's useful too. It's an informal online chat, around 45 minutes, whenever suits you. £20 voucher as a thank you. No right or wrong answers — I just want your honest take, good and bad.

This study feeds into recommendations for the industry and policymakers, so it's a chance to get driver experience in front of the people who set the rules.

If you are interested in participating, please DM me and I'll send the details.

Calling all food delivery riders!

Do you ride for Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Just Eat? I'd like to hear what the job is actually like — the good, the frustrating, and everything in between.

I'm part of a research team at the University of Surrey looking into how delivery apps work for the people doing the riding.

It's a relaxed online interview, around 45 minutes, at a time that suits you. There's a £20 voucher as a thank you. There are no right or wrong answers — I'm just interested in your honest experience.

What riders share feeds into recommendations for the industry and policymakers, so it genuinely helps shape how these apps treat workers in future.

If you'd be up for it, leave a comment or send me a message and I'll share the details.
